I disagree with Mr. Ballard. By all means leave the post up...that's why this is the DECK FORUM!

...Just don't claim it's somebody else's deck. :p

But anyways to be topical, you really need to play at least two holon's trode, multi, or regular darkness...I don't see you getting to fully abuse Sharpedo as much as you could.

YUP, that's what I tried to say in the earlier post.

Please, for the love of all things holy, someone tell me we're not actually having this discussion.

Hey...legitimate deck discussion, Jim! I don't see why this wouldn't legitimately beat a lot of the field, anyways.

I've tested Claydol and it's cool. Spread damage for 1 of any energy? Neato.

Claydol - Medicham

4 baltoy em... I start with this for Fighting type

3 claydol hp... this helps Meditite DP use Meditate

1 claydol dx... do you know I played this at Nats 2005?.. people said, "Huh?".. true fighting type rules... Confusion disruption..nice Poke-Power... dies quickly

1 claydol EX.. I'm not big on it, but it has value

4 meditite dp... I suppose em is best for real Fighting type, but oh well

3 medicham dp... hits hard, helps self

1 medicham ex...

Medicham EX -
will shut down Dragonite, Metagross to Metanite
will shut down Metagross for MSN
will shut down Nidoqueen, Fearow, Meganium for delta build
will shut down Lapras
wil shut down Flygon d
NOTE: will NOT shut down Dugtrio or Cloyster! (Poke-Body!)

It's true this is the distraction, everyone is going to be playing it at US nationals, then "somebody" i know who but I do not want to exploid who will play another deck to own this deck. W/E YOU DO, DON'T PLAY THIS DECK U WILL JUST GET PWNED!

OK, here's my thoughts on this whole claydol ex thing:

SD? maybe, but why would they popularize it on the gym? I just can't see a card that gives up two prizes with one hit from banette, flygon, or any other popular psychic types being all that awesome. It could be the SD that sweeps nationals, but I doubt it.

A plot to make us play claydol at nats and then counter it? This is a definite no. There is no way they could make us play this, so it's unreliable that team lafonte will have anything to counter.

A plot to make some extra cash of the claydols that were sitting in the members of team lafonte's dusty "these cards will never be of any use" binders? Maybe. This seems like the most likely answer because now every one is scrambling to get their hands on as many claydols as possible and therefore the value will go up. Pokemon cards are like the stock market in a way. As soon as a card finds a use for itself in a good deck the value skyrockets (ie Delcatty ex becoming popularized by infernape)

well one thing that claydol is good for is if someone if using rayquaza. forget excatly which one. but the more enrgy it has the mroe dmaage it does. forget excatly what set. but im sure you all know what im speaknig of. also he works amazing with ER2. and other discarding trainers and pokemon that de-evolve the opponet. its jsut hard to get him to work with a deck that decent. JMO

Well, u are talking about the one from Deoxys that does 20 for each energy on it, BUT dat one isn't used NEARLY as much as the one from DF is used.

ER2 is amazing w/ this deck, AND Sharpedo's drag off works hand in hand as well. Very likely a contender at Nats. if you think about it. Shark is the main attacker, while Claydol sits on the bench until a card that is weak to fighting/psychic (which there are a lot of) hits the active space, in which Claydol takes over.

This is sad.

Whether its a real deck or not, trying to pass something off of it ... eh its just boring, eh..

=/

And guess what? In the Deck Help and Strategy forum, you actually have to post a strategy with your deck, or it gets locked. This one lacks a strategy paragraph, and as a result, as my esteemed colleague would say,

*click*
