Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Code Geass anyone?

I'm not talking about the Zero Re;quiem. I'm talking about his entire reason for doing this in the first place. He says it over and over throughout both seasons. "To create a world in which Nunally can be happy". He failed.

It kinda doesn't make sense but it kinda does. I haven't thought about it much.
He didn't just want to make Nunnally happen, he wanted a "fair" world or whatever. He succeeded in that.

He could be thinking that he made Nunnally happy with the "funnel of hatred" plan. He geassed her to solidify her hate for him, and then died thinking she would be happy as a result. Too bad she can read minds by touching hands.

Alternatively, he was just being pushed into the plan by Suzaku, who doesn't care about Nunnally nearly as much if at all anymore. He thought up the plan when he thought Nunnally was dead, and when he found she was alive, Suzaku made him proceed ("cut away his weaknesses").

But yeah, Suzaku would make a crappy Zero. Presumably there's not too much Zeroing to do anymore, other than just being a symbol.

****, as far as I can tell, the name "Zero" is just meant to imply that he's Britannian. So yeah, it's lost all meaning...

The more I think about it, I can describe the ending in three sentences.

1. It was the perfect ending.

2. It was the ONLY ending.

3. It was the WORST POSSIBLE way to end.

Let me explain. In terms of the story and the character of Lelouch, it was the perfect way to show his insane ability to think through a problem and come up with a perfect solution that would satisfy the most amount of people.

It was the only ending insofar as the last 5 or so episodes forced this particular ending over all others.

It was the worst possible ending because it simply left too much out there; nothing was explained outside of the Zero Re;quiem.

In a perfect world, R2 would've been split into two seasons. One season leading up to the defeat of Charles. The second season dueling with Schneizel. There would have been a LOT more room for explanation doing it that way rather than what they actually did.
