English exclusive Primes are already confirmed, it was one of the first things we found out about the set. You're probably right about the Legends though.

I wouldn't place down any money on that statement.

Link to where it's "already confirmed", ha ha.

So out of all the cards listed the only ones that came from the lost link mini set happened to be Research Documents and Lost World? I remember Pokebeach posting rumors that turned out to not be true and WPM removes them when they're debunked. Do I think the beach is lying to us no, I believe they think this information is true. I can't believe someone didn't use their phone to take a picture of these alleged cards.

Pokebeach ISN'T a reliable site
If you say so.

Pokebeach has been wrong in the past
So has every site. So has every agency. So has every person. CNN and NPR get things wrong all the time. No one that posts the volume of news we do is going to get it right 100% of the time. But we're definitely not wrong often. I can't even recall times that we've been just blatantly, horribly, absolutely wrong - I'd say we have beyond an excellent track record. ;) And if I am ever wrong about things, I say so.

You're full of it. I don't remove anything. Do you seriously like to make up things out of the blue? If I ever posted something then removed it people would know right away. It angers me that people like you come here and just make up things out of thin air. And if a rumor is a rumor then it's not confirmed in the first place.

The news is valid. We have had several sources come forward independently of each other saying they saw this incident occur. Someone posted about it on my forums the day it happened (a very reliable person) and I also got two separate e-mails from people who were at the League in question. I don't have to explain all of this (and other info you don't know about) in my actual news post because I know people will just trust that I've done the work in checking the validity and that I have an excellent track record.

@ Pokepop: Thanks for your post. I'm glad to see that the head of this site isn't biased like other people. :p

Now I wish I could post what PokePop is talking about! :D

So, am i the only one thinking the next format will be HGSS-on?
Seeing that they only reprinted HS series cards and the rest of the cards from LL.
It seems TPCi is bringing us "up to date" to match the japanese format.
Hopefully, the upcoming B&W sets will contain some cards (Drawpower mostly, random-playable-cards) that'll speed up the format to come a little.
Just my 2 cents.

I think the reason that the reprints will only be HGSS-on is because whilst bringing in older cards might be cool for this season's format as well as next years (if it ends up being RR-on or something similar), they might run into a problem when all the Platinum sets are rotated out. If the last 4 sets are any indication, they definitely seem to be "powering down" the Pokemon cards and returning power to Trainers. With the abundance of cards from the HS base set you could even come to the conclusion that they are preparing for a UL-on format in 2 seasons time.

Pokebeach ISN'T a reliable site; though, it is the only major Pokemon news site that puts a heavy emphasis on Pokemon TCG.

Pokebeach has been wrong in the past and the tendency of the major Pokemon news sites to disregard the veracity of news to compete against each other was heavily criticized just this summer.

Water Pokemon Trainer has basically summed up what I was about to say against you. So take a good look at it.

Even Xicious has already conceded that he now believes that the reports of Lost World's existence in our English cards are reliable.

So give it a rest. Lost World, and other mentioned cards in the front page of Pokebeach, are due to come out soon and its a fact. Pictures would incidentally be welcome, but since just about everyone buys into this news and believes it, I do see any reason for myself to be skeptical anymore, pictures present or not. Take the news and information about the new set and use it to the best of your ability for your benefit. That's the most prudent course of action to take right now. Further speculation is moot.

This is the last post on this subject.

PokeBeach deserves to be credited when info is directly taken from their site and posted here.

PokeBeach is not stealing info if we post it one day and the next day someone sends him the same info/scan.
I know that I don't credit Pokebeach if they post a Pokemon press release in the morning and I post it in the afternoon. I didn't get it from them, I got it from Pokemon. Just because he got it up earlier doesn't mean he owns the info.
Similarly, if someone sends us a Rare Candy promo scan first, we don't own that info. Just that particular image of it.
If he gets another image, that's his to post.

Yes, PTOs get this info first, but we're not allowed to release it ourselves.
If the info gets out because some blogger got packs early and showed them around, that info is fair game for members to post.

Are we clear with how all this stuff works now?
Good. Back to discussing the cards in the set. I haven't seen one reprint being discussed yet that everyone will be very happy to see.
Can't wait until that one gets discovered!
Maybe that will be a surprise on Saturday!

Reprint as in "Pokemon Collector"? Reprint as in "get another chance to get this card? Or a reprint of something currently not modified legal? Im actually getting interested in this set now, stupid teasing :<

PokePop just did more to hype this new set than anything I've seen from Nintendo, P!P, or anyone else. It was a fantastic counter to the negative vibe being generated by the news of all of the reprints of recent cards.

That was awesome.

I'm guessing it's a special energy of some sort, otherwise Lost Remover will be pretty useless in prereleases.
It'll probably be DCE, but I'm still holding out that it's a Call Energy reprint:biggrin:

His next post (where he said "I'll just say that it's a card that you find in competitive decks.") leads me to believe it's something in modified that would probably have gotten rotated otherwise. I'm assuming it's something like Call Energy, Unown Q, or BTS.

Everything after PL (and definitely HGSS) will more than likely be modified for next year anyways, so most players wouldn't care all that much if something out of those sets got reprinted (not to say that things from those sets won't get reprinted, I don't doubt something like Collector getting reprinted, just most players wouldn't care about that as much as something getting rotated).

They don't have to make a card useful for prereleases. I know you already know that but i'm just going to provide Junk Arm as an example. Junk Arm was the only trainer in Triumphant

Hey that's not true! You could play Alph Litograph, look at your prizes, then play Junk Arm and see your prizes again!:thumb:

btw, Call Energy reprint is very likely imo since they didn't print it as a league promo while it screamed for it (80% of the decks need or at least can use 3-4 copies - unlike Azelf or Expert Belt). I don't think they have just overseen that, but rather have a reason to not print it as league promo.

^But this time, we'll call bill something different! Maybe we could be sneaky and call him George. Have George standing in front of a stone wall. Nobody would see the similarity.

I hope that this does not mean Claydol. Claydol would wreck the format. We have gotten so far... don't break it. I am hoping the set will have some factors that redeem it... other than the lost link stuff. Also, Pop, you are just so cruel for reminding us that you know things that we don't. :< This "amazing reprint" better be something ACTUALLY amazing... like Mudkip GE. I miss that card :<

I don't get the Claydol hate; last I checked, it made decks better..

Yeah Claydol would make non sp / drop uxies and hope they dont get sprayed decks playable again. Claydol would stop dekcs having to rely on opening hands/topdecks. Claydol could make new decks playable. Whod want somethin like this to happen in our current super exiting developed metagame :thumb:

True. Claydol reprint also make LostGar even more broken. I'm not trying to say that Claydol being re-released is a good/bad idea. I'm just saying that either way there are going to be players pissed that it was/wasn't reprinted so it's unlikely from PokePop's vague hinting that it would be the card everyone would love. I do think it's more likely that it's Call or Warp Energy myself as I haven't seen anyone post "I wish they'd reprint Call/Warp" followed by 10 posts of frantic anger that P!P would even think of reprinting the card with the people countering that it's needed to energize the metagame.

I dont believe there is any chance of a claydol reprint, I just think it would be the best thing to happen to this game.
