This last weekend, a lot of us are relieved to have as definitive a word as we can on Fighting Stadium. Still, it's obvious that there could be some improvements in communication. At the end of the day, we players are responsible for ourselves; but with an international game like Pokemon, translated form Japanese to more than six other languages, we could use all the help we can get.

Here are some questions I have for TC to help the community better understand how things work, and what P!P needs to do so that its playing community stays well informed:

1) When a major rule change comes down, what sort of direct communication is there between Pokemon Card Laboratories (PCL) and Team Compendium (TC)?

2) What role does Play! Pokemon (P!P) play in assuring that the game is understood as it should be?

3) How are discussions between the three groups facilitated? Do you ever have things such as live conferences?

Team Compendium has various communications with both Organized Play and R&D.
We have no direct communication with Creatures (other than playing cards late at night after Worlds).
PCL no longer exists, as such.

I can't and won't speak for OP on how they go about their job.

We communicate as we need to. email, phone, and in person are all used as needed.

So it's just Creatures that's the official Japanese rule-making group?

Exobyte, of what you can say, how do you maintain good lines of communications with Creatures (assuming the answer to my question to Pokepop is "yes")?

More directly I was referring to just this:

I can't and won't speak for OP on how they go about their job.

Which is why I'm asking about the nittier-grittier stuff regarding maintaining communication. TC communicates how they do, but I'm not sure what all goes into the direct line between P!P R&D and Creatures to make sure that P!P implements the game internationally as intended.
