POKEMON POWERS

== EXTRA LIQUID (Sceptile EX - EX:Crystal Guardians)

Q. Rayquaza-EX's "Rage Aura" Poke-BODY lets him ignore all coloress attack costs if you're behind on prizes. But Sceptile-EX's "Extra Liquid" Poke-BODY adds +1 colorless cost to attacks by -EX Pokemon. Which Poke-BODY prevails?
A. The effect of Rage Aura removes all colorless attack costs from Rayquaza-EX's "Special Circuit" and "Sky-high Claws" attacks, including effects that would add to its colorless attack costs. Therefore, Rayquaza-EX would still attack for less, despite Sceptile-EX's Extra Liquid. (Apr 26, 2007 PUI Rules Team)

== METAL GRAVITY (Skarmory EX - EX:power Keepers)

Q. What happens if my opponent retreats their Active Pokemon for one that has Cessation Crystal attached, but I have Skarmory-EX with "Metal Gravity"? Would my Skarmory-EX's "Metal Gravity" get to place any damage counters on that Pokemon or not?
A. Yes. By the time Cessation Crystal is active, the Metal Gravity Poke-BODY has already been set in motion and is not shut off. (Apr 26, 2007 PUI Rules Team)

== RAGE AURA (Rayquaza EX - EX:Dragon Frontiers)

== SHADOW CURSE (Gengar - EX:Legend Maker)

Q. Scenario: Player A has a Stantler with Cessation Crystal with 40 damage; Player B has a Gengar with Cursed Powder with 80 damage. Player A attacks for 20 damage to KO the Gengar, then Cursed Powder on Gengar is triggered to KO Stantler at the same time. Would Gengar's "Shadow Curse" Poke-POWER trigger because Stantler is KO'd from the Cursed Powder? Or does it all happen at the same time?
A. Gengar's Shadow Curse would be turned off by Cessation Crystal during the period in which the Poke-POWER could be triggered. At the point when Cessation Crystal is no longer in play, Gengar would have already gone to the discard pile. (Apr 26, 2007 PUI Rules Team)

== RAINBOW MOVES (Togetic - EX:Team Rocket Returns)

Q. If you have Togetic use "Rainbow Moves" to copy Dark Ampharos' "Shock Bolt", do you still do 70 damage even if Togetic doesn't have any Lightning energies attached?
A. No. Per current rulings from Japan, all discards are mandatory and in order to do an attack where you discard all Lightning energy you would need to have at least one attached in order to perform the attack. (Apr 26, 2007 PUI Rules Team)

***** PREVIOUS RULING: THIS ONE HAS BEEN OVERRULED; See Above *****
Q. If you have Togetic use "Rainbow Moves" to copy Dark Ampharos' "Shock Bolt", do you still do 70 damage even if Togetic doesn't have any Lightning energies attached?
A. Yes. Rainbow Moves copies the attack except for its energy cost, therefore you don't need L energy to use the attack. So if Togetic has no Lightning energy attached, it has none to discard and the rest of the attack still takes place. But if Togetic does have any Lightning energies attached, it would have to discard them. (July 21, 2005 PUI Rules Team)
