Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Could this be the end of SP decks?

Or Broken Time Space to quickly evolve into Rapidash.

It won't matter too much. Rapidash doesn't do anything against Gengar/Machamp/etc, so it might curve the SP match a little, but get in the way in every other matchup.

I'll just luxray up everything on your bench and ko it. You won't play a bench you say? thats cool. Now i'll just hit it with a bunch of uxies that go to the bottom when you hit them. You need 3 Energy and a flip to OHKO uxie. Plus crobats/turns speed up the damage done to it.

Rapidtrash is more like it.

Rapidash will kill SP decks in the same way that Milotic GE killed LV Xs.

Saying "Luxray kills Ponyta" is such an AWFUL argument, it is ridiculous.

Gengar, Claydol, Machamp, Kingdra, Beedrill, Blaziken, and Dusknoir must all be awful cards... I mean, Luxray can drag up and kill their Basic forms. Must be terrible.

I don't think the card is that great, but all of your people's logic is just... bleh. It's just like when somebody posts a grass deck in Deck Help and someone automatically goes "THIS DECK IS BAD DIALGA G KILLS IT YOU ARE AN IDIOT FOR EVEN THINKING OF THIS DECK I HOPE YOU LOSE YOUR HOUSE..."

the problem with looking at a card like this is that its very hard to think in the 4th dimension. Who knows what the meta will be. The card itself serves its function quite well. Ascention has always been a highly desirable attack on a basic, coupled with a stage 1 with free retreat, a protection from a large portion of the popular card pool, and a 1 energy attack. Hmmm, looks like an above average card to me. Time will tell how playable it will be, but techable? very.

60 from Uxie X's attack + PSN + Crobat/Buck, it's easy to get down, 4 of them could be diffrent story... Or not if you play Dialga G X.

I agree with yoyofsho

in my opinion, rapidash is better than mewtwo level X. First of all, mewtwo has to be active to levelup while you can evolve ponyta in your bench. Second, mewtwo lvl X is useless because of dialga G LvX while rapidash can potentially OHKO Dialga G lvX due to its weakness.
Anyway time will tell..

Buck's...yes, pro indeed (not sarcastic, it's a good card...)

Rapidash will only be effective if it can constantly KO Dialga's and be more than a 1-1 line, it would have to be like...4-4 turbo Rapidash

Only thing about it is Gengar Lv.x is what you'd have to run with it just to keep Dialga G Lv.x from ruining your game.

Almost every SP decks play non-sp Pokemon(Uxie/Uxie Lv x) Which has been stated. I'd rather not play Mewtwo or Rapidash as both aren't effective counters. Mewtwo takes too long to take prizes. Chances are unless you start with it your opponent is going to take a few prizes. Rapidash will just get countered by Uxie's/Crobats.

Good idea, but imo, bad in actuality. I think the most it will do is slow SP decks down for a turn or two, which could increase your chance of setting up more. I feel like there could be more valuable cards in those couple of slots.

I know what your thinking Chompy. Rapidash will autowin against your Luxnape deck but yeah it sounds like Rapidash is just a reprint card of Mewtwo Lv X. Only worse, so thats one less card you have to worry about if your hoping that Luxnape stays alive that is lol.

Ninetails MT and Rayquaza LA don't even care since they will Ko Rapidash anyway from Crobat drops or 150 easy. No way this bad card could auto win Luxape, even if it was a 4-4 line.

Anyone consider playing this with Charizard AoA perhaps? 4-3-1 Rapidash (3 AoA)/4-2-2 Rapidash with 4-3-4 Charizard and maybe a 1-1 Heatran X. Against SP just swarm AoA Rapidash early and clean up with Charizard as needed. Against everything else, just get quick Charizard and set up Rapidashes as needed for "pluspowers." Tech Heatran makes SF Rapidash an excellent sniper. I'm thinking that Poke Blower could help solve the Dialga Problem. Not to mention it's not as much of a problem with Charizard to kill stuff anyway.

I'll agree that this card alone won't be the end of SP, and mewtwo is better to some extent in that it has more HP and can do sufficient damage if need be. With this though, I think the card will be more of tech bc as others have said this card alone can't really do much, but with the new charizard you get extra damage for charizard and have a nice little SP counter if need be, even if it's only mediocre at best.

Seconded.

Luxray can pull up opposing Luxray, drop Crobat, and one shot with Trash Bolt, making Luxray a horrible card; therefore, no one will play Luxray.
