Counting the Cards in your deck

I love to see how many cards are in my deck when I'm playing Redshark on the computer, it keeps me from decking out often (ie, i know when not to play juniper because it would only leave me x amount of turns before i deck out and I would have to draw that many prizes in those amount of turns).

Am I allowed to count the cards in my deck when I'm in a tournament without using a card to search my deck, and how would I go about doing this?

Yes. Just let your opponent know what you are doing.
Make sure not to look at the fronts!
