Am I the only one that brought only one of each? and even thats for collection.

Walked-in to my local wal-mart just as they were going on the shelves. :)

I have kids to build for. Not everyone can afford 7-9 Mewtwo, or 6 Darkrai. Of course most players don't need to afford all that. The tins were a welcome supplement to our collection. I sort of gamed the system though, but mum's the word....

I stopped by my Walmart on the way to work today - no dice. I will check Target and a different Walmart on the way home. Wish me luck. :p

They were on the shelves of our local Walmart on Monday...not sure why Walmart gets to beat everyone on the street. Seems kind of like a violation of the contract and I wonder if the vendors that stock Walmart feel any repercussions other than better sales...lol.

Seems unfair to other local vendors.

Unless someone is actually going to Pokemon and complaining about getting product early, then not much would be done about it. The majority of sales come from the big box stores anyway. I'm sure they don't want to rock the boat too much over some random driver's mistake. And with each individual Walmart having its distribution handled by various vendors, it gets quite messy trying to actually follow the trail of crumbs. As for local cardshops, they've always gotten the short shrift when competing against the Walmarts and Targets. The only way to combat that would be to offer shops some form of exclusive product; like box toppers and special blister promos. But Nintendo seems to care more about promoting that kind of thing via the chain stores anyway. Like with the BW starter boxes. Originally certain ones only shipped to a certain chain.

Went to local Target stores (2 of them) and neither had the new tins. Went to local Walmart and the new tins are there, although they are behind the express cash register and I had to ask the cashier to bring out all the tins so I could show her which ones I wanted, instead of pointing ("The one on the left - no, your other left...")

My son will be very happy! Great incentives for homework and chores. :)

Both Walmart and our local'ish superstore Meijer have them in stock, doesn't look like this was any kind of early release by Walmart...

I know when the Victini tins came out, local stores (Walmart/Target) had them on the shelves a couple weeks earlier than my card shop. The owner of the card shop said he couldn't sell them for a couple of weeks after the other stores started - seemed like it was part of their contact to the bigger stores. Doesn't seem fair to the smaller shops imo.

Got a Rayquaza tin from Toys R Us today. My BW pack didn't come with a code. Looks like they decided to put the old BW packs in. :(

Decided to pick up 2 Darkrai and 2 Mewtwo tins today since my Walmart FINALLY decided to put them on the shelves today. I can't believe they waited until the release date

Also ended up pulling Tornadus/FA Tornadus/Catcher/3 Blend Energies/Garbador/2 Ninetails/Klingklank/Serperior/Reuniclus and some other neat stuff. I'm pretty happy with my haul
