Crazy deck ideas you can't get out of your head

Ever been looking at a bunch of cards and see a deck idea that you know would never work but you keep trying to make it work because you are that intrigued by the idea? Well here's your place to share the idea.

Either we'll figure out a way to make it work, or we'll all have a good laugh. I'll start off.

The deck idea I can't seem to shake involves Pineco, the Forretress with Everyone Expode Now, and Vespiquen. The idea is to fill the bench with Pineco and a Vespiquen, set up a Forretress and use the Explode Now power for 120 attacks while Vespiquen's Defense Sign proectes the remaining Pinecos. Evolve and repeat.

I know this is an impossible deck concept but the vision of winning by exploding metal pine cones is just too funny.

I've run the deck. It ends up being way too clunky, but it's so much fun as a league deck.

The idea I just can't get out of my head is Gothitelle (Magic Room) and Gardevoir. It seems like it should work, but with them both being Stage-2 Pokemon it's almost impossible to get them out.

Mamoswine TM

70 + twenty to everything on the bench. It sounds great but there really is no way to set up Mamoswine and get damage on your opponents bench fast enough.

Same for the 600 other cards in the format.

I am getting bored with the game when 98% of the cards are completely unplayable in competive play.

Game designers need to do a better job.

I wanted to make a deck with heal block the ability and trainer lock where i can throw my damage at my opponent with cofagrigus and have a DCL tech so i can take multiple prizes.

I played against Gothitelle/Gardevoir (GG?) at Regionals, it going 5-0. He played with multiple Cleffa, Twins/N and Exp. Share. With Exp. Share, the deck can effectively trade with Mewtwo Ex.

As far as crazy deck ideas go, I've wanted to build a deck with 4 Smeargle, the new Ancient pokemon and Legends.

I used the foretress with serperior, it was hilarious.

The newest set that's been revealed looks like a LOT of good things may come from it, or at least fun decks that actually work.

It's worth it to try your ideas. Sometimes they turn out to be a rogue archetype that becomes really good. It doesn't happen too often, but if you look at Gyarados SF, that's exactly what happened.

Start with adding a few extra prizes to your opponent with Palkia & Dialga Legend. Then spam OHKOs with Celebi Prime and Shaymin EX. Seems too good to be true, but it will never work xD

Here a crazy deck i had long time ago. I had garchomp level x and i had felcitys drawing and volkners phillosphey. And i had cards like machamp and ampherose. I discarded cards like amperose and machamp with felcitys and volkners then restore them back with garchomp x attack restore. I didnt have machop or mareep in the deck.

There was a big stratgie with ampherose and garchomp x. Grachomp x's poke power is that you can put damage counters on your oppoents benched pokemon and amperose poke body stoped pokemon from useing poke powers that had damage counters on them.

So you use garchomps x poke power then restore amperose.

couldn't agree more. like hydregion would be a boss deck if rare candies and stage 2's were so noncompetitive now compared to everything else.

i'm really wanting to try the new nine tails and tech in amoongus, and possibly the new Manectric with his nice energy crush ability....but them all being under 100 hp makes it hard to compete

Based on something someone else just said, a deck built around the upcoming Ho-oh EX, specifically trying to get it out first/second turn with four or five different Basic Energy. I am thinking running like two of each basic Energy, max out Cilan, Energy Search, Junk Arm, Ultra Ball, etc. and probably run a few Electrode Prime as well.

I want to run Gigalith from Dragon Selection along with a couple Regigigas EX and Landorus.

Sounds really fun.

I've built it, so I know that it almost works.
Candlecream.

Chandelure NV and Vanilluxe ND. Slippery soles every turn, while dropping up to 9 damage counters. Mewtwo finisher.
I'm just too wimpy to bring it to an actual premiere event.

I had an idea for a 2nd deck, problem is there's not very many decks to choose from
that doesn't require running 2 Mewtwo EX and doesn't run any Stage 2 Pokemon in it so my options are still very limited, but perhaps maybe Dark Explorers will open up to some consistent deck ideas. :frown:
