Pinsir's attack prevents retreating, though I feel like there are cheaper/better options. Spinarak/Galvantula come to mind. Though Druddigon would be your best bet, so that even if the attack goes through, they'll still take recoil damage.
 
I was thinkabout something on the lines of Virizion w/Regigigas EX.

First turn draw, next tustart whacking away while you charge gigas on the bench.
Pokemon Line:
4x Virizion
3x Regigigas EX
1-2x Mewtwo Ex

Maybe Tornadus instead of Virizion, and i dont know whether to put in eviolite or Exp. Share
 
Kyogre & Groudon LEGEND, either for Rain Dance or if I could find some bizarre Durant deck for it...
 
I'm thinking about a random Darkrai EX-Mewtwo EX deck. There will be lots of energy,especially Dark energy.
Step 1: Attach Dark Energy to whatever Pokemon (especially high-Retreat Cost Pokemon)
Step 2: Darkrai EX's ability goes into effect (Dark Cloak: Each Pokemon that has a Dark Energy attached to it has a 0 Retreat Cost.)
Step 3: Attach lots of Energy to Mewtwo EX
Step 4: X-Ball

That's how I'm going to work with my deck.

Update: Looks like it's going to be Kyogre & Groudon LEGEND backed by Kyurem, Landorus, and Electrode Prime.
 
The deck I can't get out of my head is Combee (w/ Rainbow Energy to damage the Vespiquen). I tried it really early in the season, but when Pokemon Catcher was released, the deck failed.. If only there was a way to use it with Vileplume and still cycle Combee......

Too bad Memory Berry is out of the format... Have you tried Sunflora to give the deck some extra speed?

Was just about to start a similar thread when I saw this :p I only play Unlimited Singleton (150), so any crazy deck idea is possible... fun ideas just can't happen in the current "play a Basic, attach energy" Modified.
My girlfriend is making a Wailord, Cofagrigus, Reuniclus deck in 150, but it'd technically be doable in Modified. Can you hit Wailord for 180 in 1 hit? (Dam you Zeels!) If they can't, switch to Cofagrigus, heap some more counters on Wailord then "Damagriiigus" for like... 170! Works better when your opponent only has 2 "Catchers" (1 Catcher, 1 Gust) in their whole deck.

I have a desire to make a deck designed around the genies with Landorus, Tornadus, and Thunderus as the main attackers so that I have attackers to hit for weakness against Electric, Dark and the T in CMT and Tornadus to be resistant to Troll/Terrakion. I'm just not sure if I can get the energy cycling fast enough to make it work.
