Can I use (Gengar Prime's) curse droplet on Old Amber (Pokebody : Hard Amber). Just want to make sure that you can place damage counters on Old Amber even with the pokebody saying "damage/attacks". Thanks for the help!

Yes you can!
It's Body prevents damage done, but that is not the same as placing damage counters.
It will count as a KO'd Pokemon if you Knock it Out that way and you will draw a Prize.
It will even go into the Lost Zone due to Gengar's Poke-Body!
HOWEVER!!
While in the Lost Zone, it is a Trainer and will not count toward Lost World's requirement.
