^That started out as a good post and then it lost all of its credibility due to near-personal attacks...sigh

Well I got one and it was Mint.lol Joy we got something the same time as America did and we only Just Got D+P1 at the smae time lol

i got the empoleon tin on saturday last week, it was mint (and i also pulled another empoleon LVX).
i got ape today, and it was mint (i also pulled a torterra LVX in the booster)

i was hapy with the tins, 4 LVX's (i got 1 of each empoleon LVX now!) and 2 tins i won't use, good turn out for £20.

I got my Infernape tin a few days ago, and it was not mint. It had a nick in the side, and some wierd indentations on the bottom right corner... like someone took their fingernail and dragged it across the card, making a wierd indentation pattern.

I too am very Picky about my card(s) condition. As was mentioned earlier, if your going to pay $3.99 for a pack, or whatever the price is for any other package. It's always a let down to find that the copy you get is less than mint. Now i know they do the best they can in making sure the cards are in mint condition when you get it. But it's still a bummer to see one not mint. Because now you have a dilema, buy another one and hope it's in better shape. Or deal with the one you got. Depending on how bad it is, will depend on which action i take. I won't blame anyone, as it's really no ones fault. I bought one of each Tin (Empoleon, Torterra, Infernape LV X's) Of those, only Infernape had some minor issues. I may buy another Tin, or settle with what i have. I Love the new LV X cards, i think they are a Great replacement for the Ex cards. I won't trade or sell any of them, even less than mint ones. These Promos are WAY better than the Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza Ex Tins. Those were Terrible in how they were packaged. They had nothing holding them in at all, so often they would be creased on top or bottom from packaging. Anyway, just my two cents on the subject.

Well, I just bought an Infernape tin 2 days ago, nothing wrong with the tin itself or the cards in it. I guess I got lucky lol.

Slight ding on the right middle edge of the card.
Not bad enough that I'd return it, but I can see that some would.

I'm actually a little bit afraid to take mine out of the package. I don't know what that will do to the card in question.

Well, mine were either Mint or Non-Mint in the package. The absolute best way IMO to get the card out is to tap the back of the plastic on the side the card isnt on with like something soft for it to fall on like a pillow, bed, or towel. There for your not actually putting any force into it by pulling the card out and catching it on the little grooves that keep it in.

oh boy, page 2 doesn't exist...

yeah today my friend Bela bought one @ Walmart and his was fine (he also pulled a magmortar x from his packs!)

I guess he just got lucky, but we did check as much as we could for scratches, so I guess we avoided the potential problem in that case

OK, I think that joke's worn out its welcome here. :nonono:

Anyhoo, I've had no problems getting my Lvl. X cards out of the tins. I guess this means I have a pretty gentle touch.

So far I've bought three tins and I'm not too happy. My Infernape was ok, Empoleon had some knicks on the corners where he was being held in. But Torterra was absolutely destroyed, it was bent in about three places and had the same problem as Empoleon. Being a collector who can't spend money on whatever they want whenever they want it, I was displeased with what I recieved. Since I'm also a player however, the good news is I'll likely be buying more tins and I hope the cards come out better. Please PUSA package them better in the future so we don't have this problem again... =/

I dont collect tho. I bought them to sell the promos/packs. I cant sell a card that has creases in it, can I? Wouldnt be very nice to do so. Why when I buy them should I expect any less?? If I am paying for a item, shouldnt it be in mint condition?? I mean seriously. I dont think asking for the product to be in the condition it is suppose to be in is asking too much.

JMO,
Drew

Drew - what, precisely, is the issue? The promo cards are damaged? Cards from the packs are coming out damaged?

If I were still collecting, I would be VERY concerned if cards were coming out of a tin/pack/box in less than mint condition (as certain PUI managers well know ;-).

Drew - Is the standard replacement avenue still available?

The packs were fine, it was the actually tin cards that were damaged. They have grooves to hold in the cards, and some look like they were actually pushed in over the grooves. Yes, they still have a way to get replacements.

I was frustrated with this as well. The tins themselves are in fine condition, but for some reason with the diamond and pearl set tins, they've decided to have the cards more 'secured' within, which is what put dents in the edges of my cards. I think they probably did it to keep cards from sliding around in the tins like some of the old ones did (which had resulted in some getting scratched or even some bent corners), but unfortunately, it has simply resulted in different problems. ~_^
Hopefully the next go-round, they can do something like just putting something flat over the top to secure it, or not needing the window and having it much more protected inside the packaging.

Also, Let Fire Fall, I got mine at the local K*B Toys. (But I work there, so shameless plug XD)
