This deck is for my 8 year old...

2- Darkrai EX
3- Absol Prime
4-3-1 (Zorou, 3 DEX, 1 B/W Zoroark)
2- Sableye DEX

3- Dark Claw
4- Dark Patch
2- Ultra Ball
4- Junk Arm
3- Catcher
2- Plus Power
1- Random Receiver
1- Super Rod

4- Pokemon Collector
3- PONT
3- N
3- juniper

4- DCE
8- Dark

Strategy: Swarm Zoaroark for prizes, use Darkrai for free retreat or as a secondary attacker, sableye is to grab needed resources that have been used or discarded such as random receiver, catcher, dark patch, etc. Absol is to spread damage or as a quick attacker...

Here is what I am having trouble with:
1. never seem to get dark patches with energy in the discard pile
2. powering up a darkrai seems slow

I want to take out the absol but have no idea what to replace them with...

Thanks in advance for the help...

Special dark energy´s are very good

I agree it might help but can you explain the reasoning on why you would use special dark?

This is why I don't use it in the deck:

1. Enhanced Hammer
2. Lost Remover
3. Does not work with dark patch
4. Dark Claw already adds 20 damage

Here are the benefits of it:

1. Adds 10 Damage when attacking

I would love explanations and actual help with this !

I would swap out at least 2 of your collectors for dual ball, they won't waste your supporter for the turn and they can be retrieved with junk arm.

I started with 4 dual ball but could never seem to fill the bench quick enough, but I never tried a 2-2 split, will give that a try...

If you do take out Absol then you might want to try out Weavile UD, who has a snipe attack, free retreat, and a nice disruption ability.
