Darkness Energy and Feint Attack

Many Pokemon can use Feint Attack, but I was wondering if Darkness Energy works on these kind of moves, or specifically, Honchkrow LV.X's Feint Attack.

it works a long as your not targeting the bench. special dark says it only works against the active pokemon.

Its all in the text on Special Dark. It reads does 10 more damage to the opponent's active. That means, if you "target" the bench, you don't get the bonus.

Another point that hasn't been made, is that it says to ignore effects on the Defending Pokemon, not the Active (Attacking) Pokemon. Faint Attack would get around Special Metals, but not Special Darks, since Special Dark is an effect on the Active, while Special Metal is on the Defending.
