Deck ideas, modified, non-EX

Hey guys, my crew and I haven't been at a Pokemon tournament for 9 years, and now we are gearing up for a tournament that is going on soon.

My question is, what are some good deck ideas that do not include Pokemon EX.

We have some good modified cards, can anyone point to a list, or maybe just name some good combos?
