Decks of next season?

im ust glad metanite can be put behind us.

i think the main problem it had with me was that i played like 5 last season, and creamed them all (1 with shiftry ex cg, 1 with super stantler and 3 with my lati@s megadeth deck).
so i hated it.

Hm, wasn't this thread called decks of next season?

Anyway, Gatr sucks, Garchomp is ok..You know, now that I think of it the best cards in this set are the rares(non holos) and not the holos themselves. I like Crobat/Toxicroak though.
 
Look, the 1337 players are going to do well with one deck and everyone is going to want it and play it at NATS, then they will make a counter deck to beat the 1337 deck they made and OWN NATS! That is how I see it.

--I don't see how Gatr doesn't beat Magmortar. They both aren't that good in the first place. Magmortar doesn't have a way to get it's energy active and has a high retreat cost, and without something to get energy in the hand Gatr loses. Unless you play 15-20 water energy you lose. Feraligatr/Delcatty wins it though. Maybe 70-30 if you ask me.

--Garchomp isn't good yet, 3 for 70 possible 110 is good, but I don't think it can set up so fast.

--Infernape is going to do well, I know the holon engine left but the decklist I have is great and fast. This deck is way too fast for almost anything which brings me too...

--Empoleon, the japan players gave us a great deck to use during the season. The holon engine dying doesn't slow this down. 4 Celio's 4 Candy, 4 Basic getters. You have Speed.

--Kricketune, this is an early game crush thing. If your opponent gets anything out that can do a good amount of damage every turn, they win, if they end up doing bad first turn then hey they lose!!! It is a good deck but it isn't great.

--Mario, look people this isn't a real deck. Yes it wins stuff because you can T1 people. Looky there you had the best game of your life, a whole 1 turn game... wow great.

How on earth does gatr suck?? It can give out 150+ dmg. a turn, and 100+ dmg. with out even trying.

Hurricane deck is gatr with catty pk. I agree with you'r match up about 70-30, not ever 50-50. Unless gatr gets a REALY bad start, it will win.

its an obvious combo, that means it will be easy to begin working out its demise.

Gatr sucks, it's just another over-hyped card in the set. I can't see myself having more than 4 energy in hand at the max in a single game, it's just toooo inconsistent. Though when Suicune dp3 comes around, it'll have a bit more excitement. Delcatty/Gatr sucks as well. I tested out the deck, and I just went straight Gatr/Ton with TVR's and Stones. It was consistent, but the overall strat of the deck is too easily disrupted nowadays.

Electivire is overrated as well, unless someone can come up with a way of running him without Elekid, which is the only thing that's holding it back. Magmortar could see play with Ty, but I'm hearing more on Empoleon, Infernape, and Crobat then anything else right now.

Suicune won't help gator much.

Why would you want to run electivire without elekid, expect for space. Because electabuzz d power is great.

Space? Consistency, speed? Duh. Electabuzz d's power is lame, seriously. There's not too much going on with it, it really depends on what the deck's main focus is though, Electivire X or Electivure. Elekid is only a bonus, but the deck is slow with it in. Chunky soup is gross yo.
 
It's funny how people say Mario isn't a deck because all it has it early game action and relies on donking. What about T2 Kricketune? Would T2 game not be donking? Mario and Kricketune are very similar concepts only one runs a stage 2 for mid-late game playability. You can't say one isn't a deck while accepting that one is. That's like saying an orange isn't a fruit but an apple is. :/
