I've never written a report before and I don't post much (but I read them alot)... but I feel compelled to tell everyone THANK YOU!!!! Along my way to winning the South Stadium, MANY of you have truly been wonderful in supporting me. It has been great to have my kids win invites to Worlds.... but it's been tough for me to keep trying and "just miss it" (in NC, in SC, in CA, in OH). My son, Michael, did a wonderful job creating my latest deck, Crobyss (with lots of support from others). I was SO TIRED of playing Blaziken and getting the "perfect bench" and then NOTHING... no draw... or no energy...
At this point... I'm just so excited to able to play at worlds along side my kids and all my other "Pokemon" friends...
So... no matter where you are and who you are... I want to say THANK YOU for making Pokemon Organized Play what it is today!!! I've had one of the most wonderful years of my life in 2004...
I've been able to
- Travel up and down the east coast (SC, NC, VA, MD) with my kids and friends and spend HUGE amounts of quality time with ALL
- Travel to "other" fun locations (Gym in LA, CA; Nationals in Columbus, OH, Stadium in Dallas, TX)
- Meet some wonderful players and parents
- Been able to play some GREAT tournaments (pre-releases; city, state, gym, nationals, and now stadium challenge)
- Chase a DREAM!!!!
I've had many people laugh at me about my "obsession" with Pokemon and my determination to chase "the win" that I couldn't quite get... from friends and business aquaintances... but you know... I've always laughed back at them... I just can't tell you how much each of you mean to me (the organizers, the judges, people behind the scenes, folks from Nintendo, the players, the moms and dads who sit, watch and wish they could understand the game).
Thank you...
