Devolution Spray and Adaptive Evolution

If I use Devolution Spray on a Butterfree and devolve it into a Metapod with the Adaptive Evolution Ability, am I allowed to evolve that same Metapod back into Butterfree during the same turn?

Yes. The text on Devolution Spray about not evolving is reminder text about normal rules. Adaptive Evolution will over ride it.
