Diamond help: need a Magmarizer

HELP! I need directions on how to get a magmarizer or at the very least a Magmortar! For some time now I've been trying to get one and I think I have the directions correct but so far I can't seem to find one. The directions (that I know of) are this:

1. First to get a Magmortar you must have Diamond version or be trading one from Diamond to Pearl
2. In order to find a Magby you must have beaten the elite 4 and they are located in and around Stark Mt.
3. To catch a Magby holding a magmarizer you must have Leaf Green version in your GBA slot

After that it's just give one to a Magmar and trade him as far as I know. These are the directions I was given by other people so I don't know if they're correct or not, but I have about 30 Magbys w/o magmarizers saying they're wrong. Please help w/ correct directions!!!
 
Well, it is an extremely rare item, I'd personally use something with Thief instead of catching 30+ Magbys. But yeah, those directions sound right pretty much. I'd personally would just look around to see who has one for trade.
 
Thanks lately I've been using a Banette with Frisk to try and find one, but I still didn't know if I had the directions correct. Thanks for the conformation on the directions!!!:biggrin:
 
Actually I found it attached to my very first magby, and I'd be willin' to trade you one if you want.
 
Butterfree, with the Compound Eyes ability as your lead Pokemon. (And then switch into Banette with Frisk ability, combined with a Thief attack.)

Then you're really lucky. In diamond, it's only a 5% chance of magby holding one. In Pearl, however, it's a 50% chance. You have a 50% chance of elekid holding an electrizer.
