hmmm

chance is Australia will be the first International country to have the English DP set as it might be after the Nationals which is 13th May. We usually get the games a few weeks after the Americans...

the australian video game release i thought was schedule for july, and eruope's was in late june.

10 cards a pack and 3 different theme decks (probably featuring the starters)? It's just like old times again.

I hope they'll carry on the tradition of alternate foils, as well as going back to having 3 uncommons in a pack again.

Y'all do realize that the reason we are getting 10 cards a pack is MOST LIKELY because we will get 1 Basic Energy cause Dark and Metal are coming out as basics.

Don't forget about Mystery of the Lakes. I doubt they'll give us energies when that set comes out. Maybe'll they replace a common with an energy like they did when Ruby/Sapphire came out here.

Now that's messed up.

If they release it BEFORE worlds, then I will quit. They can't go and change the rules so drastically right before worlds. It's screwed up. It's better to release the set and the rule changes AFTER worlds.

But then again, that's from some store website I've never even heard of, and those guys have been known to screw things up and release fake information, hence toywiz the morons. Until I see something directly from PUI I'm not believing it.

what drastic rule changes? seriously people are so whiny.

could you please list all the drastic rule changes? different weaknesses and resistance, WRITTEN on the cards, and one or 2 changes to the start up phase.

STOP BEING SO WHINY!

Why does everyone assume that since the rules are different in Japan that they will be here. From what I have heard they play with different rules over there now. Don't they have decks of 30 cards over there in some of there tournaments?

Pablo, the definition of what a "Trainer card" will also be changing; Fossils count as KOed Pokemon; and basic forms of Dark and Metal energy. Dark and Metal energy requirements have usually been used to restrict a powerful attack, since you normally cannot get more than 8 of them in a deck (you really have to try to get more if you want). It changes that aspect of the game entirely.

I don't think it is the rules changes that we're complaining about. We've been through changes before, especially to the pregame set up. I think it's more of thinking about how D/P cards will mix with EX cards in the modified format. What is the point of buying Crystal Guardians and Dragon Frontiers, which should be legal in the next Modified, if those cards are going to get completely outclassed by D/P cards? It's not like D/P and D/P2 are slightly stronger than Dragon Frontiers, they are extremely stronger (especially because of the different W/Rs).

Rather than trying to mix the D/P cards with EX cards, I think I'll give the TFG a try.

farbsman, they play 60-card games too. 30-card games are a varient way of playing. Kind of like 2vs2

Maybe this set won't be legal for Worlds since it has so many different rules from what we're playing right now. Who knows, maybe all the EX sets will be rotated out after Worlds and we'll work from D/P up. Of course, that will most likely not happen, right?
