Discussion of Glitch Pokemon legality?

I know there is a policy against talking about cheating or hacking in games within this board, but is it acceptable to form a topic about Glitch Pokemon? Although most are unobtainable through normal means they are also easily identified and never used in competitive play. The idea is just to entertain the notion for casual play and experimentation.

Posts about in-game glitches and codes are just fine. Things like Missingno, the Konami code, etc. is just fine for discussion.

Well, the thing is roughly 100 types of glitch pokemon can only be obtained through use of a gamshark or the "trainer's special" glitch, and noticing the attitude towards gameshark cheating I wondered if it would still be ok.

So what are you trying to ask about?
If you're talking about Semi-legit Pokemon, Pokemon you obtain through event items and then legitimately caught at their respective locations, then it's up to the person who's using it

The so called "other" glitch pokemon besides Missingno. and M', whose hex data is still in the game but is not accessible without use of a gameshark, unlike the more popular M' and Missingno. In dealing primarily with the original red, blue, and yellow versions a hexadecimal system was used for storing the pokemon, leaving 256 data slots in which pokemon could be put into.Because only 151 pokemon "officially" exist in those games, there are also 105 glitch pokemon that fill those unused data spots. The glitch pokemon that can be found are different between the red/blue/green games and yellow, leaving a total of 210 possible glitch pokemon. Some of these are unobtainable through any means or change species upon capture, even with only use of a gameshark to make them appear in the wild.
