Hello,

For the 2011-12 season, I will be moving up to Masters. However, the rotation usually takes place September 1, not July 1. So, am I a Master now, or do division changes happen September 1 still?

Basically, are we now in the 2011-2012 season?

No, we're still in the 2010-2011 season, we just had a mid-season rotation. Division changes still take effect September 1st.

also...what if your birthday is september 5 and you turn 15..would you still be a senior the whole season or would you become a master?

lol thats my b-day and turning 15 as well,

but on a serious note the divisions are separated birth year not age and assuming that if you have the exact same b-day as me, you would be in masters next season because masters will be 1996+

Master: 1996+
Senior: 2000-1997
Junior: 2001-

Does looking at that make anyone else feel incredibly old just now? Kinda hard to think most Juniors playing weren't even born when Pokemon was released, let alone that quite a few of the Masters now were Seniors back in 2001...geez...feeling sooo old

Really old is when you're teaching a Junior how to play and realize that you've been playing the card game for longer than they've been alive.

Or having Pokemon from your GenIII game that were caught before they were born.

On topic, thanks.

Thanks for putting things in perspective for me, now where did I put that walking stick?

Nevermind your walking stick, I can't find my bedpan. :frown:

(lol, jk! I'm not old!)

But on a different note, the 2011-2012 season doesn't officially start until Sept. 1st. And if your birthday is on Sept 2, you're still in Seniors. I'll be going into Masters this coming season, actually.

Rikko: No. Not at all.

Your age group is dependent only on the year in which you were born.

So, if you turn 15 before January 1st, you're a Master.

If you turn 15 AFTER January 1st, you're still a Senior.

Ok, let's get this down. It's solely dependant on year. I'm thinking of something else, sorry. I've been having senior moments all day. This coming season, if you were born in 1996 or prior, you're in masters.
