Does Espeon (DE)'s ability stop effects from Hydreigon?

The Espeon's ability from the upcoming set reads

Each of your Pokémon that has any Energy attached to it is not affected by effects of attacks.​

Does this include the effects of attacks like Hydreigon's Berserker Blade?

Does 40 damage to 2 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)​

Alright, that's what I thought but was unsure because the damage that would be prevented is in the description of the attack and isn't the actual damage done to the active Pokemon. Thank you!

It is actual damage.
Damage is damage. All that where it is noted means is where to apply it.
That doesn't make it an effect.

If you don't mind, I'd like to come in and ask if Espeon's ability also applies for self-inflicted effects (e.g. Umbreon's Slashing Strike attack)?

If it turns out that it prevents ALL effects of attacks, then yes, it would also apply to self inflicted (I believe) if the english version specifies that if prevents effects of opponents attacks then no
