3-2-3 Machamp Prime
2-2 Donphan Prime
2 Smeargle
2 Zekrom
1 Cleffa

17 Pokemon

4 PONT
4 Catcher
4 Communication
3 Collector
3 Juniper
3 Max Potion
2 Junk Arm
2 Switch
2 Rare Candy
1 Twins
1 Fisherman

29 Trainer/ Supporter

10 Fighting Energy
4 DCE

The thing is to start with smeargle or cleffa to get Donphan out. Earthquake puts damage counters on the bench pokemon so Machamp can do loads and loads of damage. What's even better is when you have two or three Machamps out you can just recycle the energies with his ability. This makes max potion a wonderful card as you can heal them for no energy discard, or maybe 1 if you're healing Donphan. I have only tested this deck against the Stage 1 Rush deck so far, so any suggestions are welcome.

For Machamp to be affective he normally has a DCE on him. So even after you fighting tag you have to discard the DCE with max potion. Not the best strtegy. Best to take them out for more draw supporters for consistency or a thicker donphan line seeing how you want to consistently get a turn two earthquake or at least turn three. And smeargle is a horrible starter in this format. Nothing is worse than your oppnent having a lone juniper in hand. I'd probably switch them for manaphy.

Thanks for the help!!! I was thinking the same thing with the DCE. I'll add some draw supporters, and I'll see what I can do with the smeargle. The only problem is I've not got to play test it with a variety of decks. So thank you!!

I am just wondering... how are you matchups against Stage 1 rush decks so far?
I play a deck very similar to this involving a thinner Machamp line and more Dragons.

As for your list. I wouldn't bother running both Smeargle and Cleffa together. Pick one for the other.
I would take out those Smeargle for an extra 1-1 Donphan. I think you'll need it because of how important Donphan is to this deck.

The deck does very well against the Stage 1 so far. I have been beat twice only because the inconsistency of smeargle. I believe I'm going to go pichu and cleffa as starters possibly with an extra donphan line. The 2-2 line is a little inconsistent because one game both my donphans were prized:(. I'm gonna drop some DCE for something I just don't know what

I'm assuming you only have 2 Donphans, otherwise definitely try and put it up to 3-3.

You could drop 2 Smeargle for this.

If you're not going to up the Donphan line, I would recommend running more copies of Twins, as you're not likely to get the first KO.

Otherwise the built isn't bad.

Yea I'm definitely gonna go 3-3 Donphan. Pichu is in now as the lone starter and I'm adding more draw support for the DCE and maybe junk arm. It seems like I'm always needing one after I've used them both.

Updated deck list: I've made a substantial amount of changes I believe.

3-3 Danphan
3-2-3 Machamp
2-2 Lanturn Prime
1 Pichu
19 Pokemon

4 PONT
4 Communication
2 collector
3 Catcher
3 Junk Arm
3 Juniper
2 Max Potion
2 Switch
2 Rare Candy
1 twins
26 T/S

10 Fighting Energy
3 Rainbow Energy
2 DCE
15 energy
I want to use lanturn as a tech because it can be water (Donphan weakness) or lightning (yanmega weakness), plus I think it is just an overall good attacker. It's a third attacker so it doesn't have to be brilliant, ya know??
Anyways, so it's the normal Donchamp strategy. Set up Donphan and get out machamp with fighting tag. Heal with max potion as quickly and SUFFICIENTLY as possible. The DCE and rainbows are primarily for lanturn. I've not really seen a list like this, so hopefully it's just unique enough to do some work. More suggestions are welcome always:)

changing lanurn into water does nothing for the reason you provided. youd be fighting water against water if your worried about donphans weakness

id just run a couple of zekroms to take care about water pokemon your worried about and plus yanmegas weakness
