I find it hard to believe that we are doubling the damage twice for double weakness.
It's always been my interpretation that Weakness (and Resistance) are asking a question: Am I facing something that I am weak (or resistant) to?
If the answer is Yes, then you apply weakness (or resistance).
It's not as if two separate Pokemon are facing you. You are facing a single Pokemon and, regardless of how ever many different types that Pokemon is and however many weakness your Pokemon may have, you would still have a single answer - Yes I am facing something I am weak to or No I'm not facing something I am weak to.
The original ruling on Double Weakness was made over a year ago. Many things have been reconsidered, overturned, or brought in line with Japan. I would like to see this question asked of PUI for clarification if we could.
