You missed Amphy!

I'm happy about the new Ampharos in particular - it actually seems useful, and it's my favourite Pokémon so I'll definitely be using it.

Thanks for noticing the omission...corrections have been made. Anyone else see any problems, feel free to point it out. :)

My favorites are Arcanine and Blastoise so far. (Amazingly, Flygon seemed to rate high on a makeshift rating system I threw together.) Not sure if/how well Arcanine's Legendary Ascent would work out, but I think it's actually better than what the Birds had because of it's 120 damage.

Blastoise? Pretty obvious, eh? I can see it working well with Feraligatr DP2. The biggest downside seems to be comparisons to Swampert EX, which had all the potential in the world...yet never seemed to make it. Skipping an entire turn just doesn't seem appealing.

You're not skipping your entire turn, you are only skipping your attack. ;) Sacrificing one attack in order to power-up all of your Pokemon for many more turns to come may be worth it.
 
It depends on the amount of energy you attach. I would use it only if i attach more than 3 energy, if less it's not worth it.
 
Monarchy is gonna be great next year IMO... If you can get 2-3 Nidoqueens out, Nidoking can attack for 1 energy, and do 150!!111

how can you do 150 for 1 energy. Nidoqueens body only takes away :colorless energy
 
Hmmm.....with Darkrai Lv.X, if you retreated him for an Unown E the following turn..would this mean an automatic KO? Or would the flips for the Eternal Darkness induced sleep not count for Unown E's Hidden Power, with the flips being done "between turns"?

I wonder what would be the best partner for Gallade. Ampharos is the obvious standout in this set to combine with it, I'd think, but Dugtrio, Manectric from DP2, or Shiftry from DP1 might be possibilities too. Omastar PK is another potential one, but I'm not sure how viable a fossil Pokémon really is now.

I enjoyed it, since I want to see if they changed any of the uncommons to something else when it arrives here (I'm still waiting for them to make uncommon Special Dark and Metal Energies).
