Yet again, since this site loves to purge old topics, I will post my Garchomp variation.

Pokemon

3 Gible (Sand-Attack/Knock Away)
3 Gabite (Dragon Call/Dragonslice)
3 Garchomp (Mach Cut/Dragonblade) (one is a proxy)
3 Axew (Signs of Evolution/Scratch)
3 Fraxure (Grit/Dragon Claw)
3 Haxorus (Axe Slugger/Dragon Pulse)
3 Swablu (Sing/Peck)
3 Altaria (Fight Song/Glide)

Trainers

1 Ultra Ball
2 Level Ball
3 Cheren
3 N
3 Bianca
2 Switch
1 Super Rod
3 Pokemon Communication

Energy

3 Blend WLFM
5 Water
5 Fighting
5 Metal (basic)

Strategy get either Garchomp or Haxorus up and pound away with Altaria adding damage.
The reason for Metal energy is just in case Altaria has to attack.
Plus I am planning on changing the Haxorus to the Plasma Blast one.

Any suggestions?
Note I don't have any more Ultra/Level Balls currently.
I also don't really like using Rare Candy.

Interesting deck concept - I don't readily see the synergy between Garchomp and Haxorus. Please share your thoughts on this particular combo. And you have 2 stage 2 lines in your deck that you'll need to manage carefully, which can be awkard at times. Also, while you setup your main attackers, your Altarias are quite vunerable. As a result, you may not "get the time" for Altaria to augment Garchomp or Haxorus' damage output.

Some other thoughts/ comments for your consideration:

  • Without using Rare Candy, you are basically relinquishing your ability to attack till t3. It is not unlikely your opponent could be 3 prizes ahead by then. So, maxing out Ns may be advantageous.
  • Given the large number of Poké in the deck, I believe 1 Ultra Ball alone will not do that much good, especially given the 24 Poké you've listed. So, I suggest replacing that with another Pokémon Communication.
  • I suspect you will play will a full bench most of the time; so, a card draw Supporter like Colress would be a better choice for drawing vs. Cheren or Bianca, IMHO.
  • You have only 9 card drawing Supporters; this, many would say, are too few. Many/most players include about 12 card draw support (including Bicycle) in their decks. And with 18 energy listed, I believe that is too many. So, your card draw and energy need to be re-balanced. Consider:
    -1 Cheren
    -3 Bianca
    +3 Colress
    +1 N
    +3 Professor Juniper

    -1 W
    -1 F
    -1 M
Other key cards you have not included are Pokémon Catcher, Max Potion, Ht Laser, etc. Have you considered using these? I'd suggest incorporating the cards you want (by proxy if need be) to playtest and evolve your deck to the best it can be, You have plently of time before next season's tournaments start; so, you may be able to get the cards you want by then.

I hope you find these comments helpful.

With Dragon Call & Communication I don't seem to have any problems getting those up.
Most attacks only take 1-2 energy to use.

Haxorus was a plan to deal with big colorless EX (like Lugia).
Like I said I plan to use the one from Plasma Blast.

Just really like the Pokemon, since it was really great in the actual game.

See the "Team Plasma" topic for my mentality towards this game.
Also if its not listed that means I don't have any extras.

So I took out a Switch & Super Rod & added in an Ultra Ball & Computer Search.

Played against somebody with a rather inconsistent deck, so I trounced it pretty hard.
Even switched from my Garchomp to Haxorus to do 240 damage to a Slakoth...
Just for the LOL.

Not yet, I mostly play at league.
There is at least one person that has a Blastoise deck, but I think I played the Team Plasma deck against it.

Eric: Try a 2-1-2 lineup of Haxorus; Gabite's power will be very useful in digging out the dragons you need.

Thanks, though I never really have any problems getting this deck set up.
I recently took out the Computer Search and added another Ultra Ball.
One of the Axew is now one from Plasma Blast.

(+1) Blend
(-3) Water
(+2) Rare Candy

first suggestion that I see right away. As much as the second attack on Garchomp is decent, most decks you go up against you would use the first attack most of the time.

Even though Dragon Call helps, you would want Rare Candy for the T2 chances/quick resets when you need it.

If you don't feel like putting Rare Candy in, would suggest trying to find room for Silver Mirrors / Bangles. Bangles will help against Keldeos, and Mirrors against Genesect/Plasma Box. (take out last 2 waters, one line of Haxorus, don't add Rare Candy from above, etc)

I was trying a deck just like this i found it to hard to pull off constantly so i drop the Haxorus line and add a Gible. Just being able to hit with Garchomp fast and hard seems to do the trick. That just my opinion:pokeball:

Well thanks for the advice.
I just really like Haxorus in the Pokemon video game.
So I like to use it in the card game as well.

Took out another Axew (Dragon Vault) to put in the one from Plasma Blast.
Took out the Pokemon Comunications & put in 3 Iris
BTW one of the Bianca is now a Full Art (just because I traded for one).

I will be trying this & the other new decks I have at league this week.
Maybe even get there a bit early to try to crunch in a few more games.

{As I am sure has been noted before} I would add in some Rare Candy because getting a Stage 2 out on the second turn of the game can change your opponent's strategy while you continue to set up.

The big problem is that you run way too many Pokemon, I would drop your 3-3 line off Altria since there not really needed in the deck and lower consistency way too much. I would replace them with consistency boosters just to help you get set up quicker and can continue to apply a large amount of pressure late game.

You also defiantly want to run 4 blend energy's (WFLM) since all you play are Pokemon that need them energys.

So after some trading & new boosters.

All the Axew, Fraxure, and Haxorus are now Plasma Blast versions.

Current proxies: 1 Garchomp, 1 Level Ball.

So playing this on PTCGO (with only 2 of the new Fraxure & 1 new Haxorus).
Works pretty good.
Only problem was getting energy sometimes (played 3 games on Expert vs CPU).
So I dropped the Iris cards and put in Cilian (BTW his name is Dent in Japan).

Also took out all the water energy & put 2 metal, 2 fighting, and one more Blend.

Was pretty fun to do 240 damage with Haxourus' Dragon Axe (5 Metal & 2 Altaria)

After trading, I now have no proxy cards!
Played against somebody at league, and it did pretty well.

BTW online I had a Axew do 60 damage with Dragon Claw.
So never underestimate some of the attacks on these.

Thanks for the advice, everybody that did so.
I realize I am a tad "stubborn" about changing my decks.

Like I said before, I just like making interesting concept decks.
Sure they don't always win, but they can win.

It also shows that you don't have to be "Mr. Suitcase" (IE a guy with a ton of $ to spend on the "best" cards) to make a deck.

This deck trounced a pretty good looking Virizon & Genesect EX deck.
He only knocked out 2 Pokemon, while I knocked out 4 (2 EX).

People just don't figure on the absurd amount of damage that Dragonaxe does.
It can easily KO EX Pokemon with one hit, even without Altaria.
