pokemon: 24

3 Dratini
3 Dark Dragonair
3 Dark Dragonite
2 Voltorb
2 Dark electrode
1 electrode ex / Rocket's Scyther ex
1 rocket sneasel ex
4 dunsparce
2 pidgey
1 pidgeotto
2 pidgeot

energies:14
4 rainbow
4 dark
4 dark-metal
2 rocket

trainers:22
3 celio network
3 Steven's Advice
2 rare candy
2 Wally's Training
2 VS seeker
2 Rocket Ball
1 switch
1 pokemon retriver
1 prof. oak research
1 strength charm
1 crystal shard
1 Swoop! Tele
1 Briney''s Compassion
1 rocket's hideout

Strategy: typical dragtrode. draws out evolution and pokemon drawing(dunsparce, evol. light, pidgeot) and utilizes dark electrode's energy draw with dark dragonite, while also abusing the special energies with both electrode and dragonite.

pidgeot and the drawing trainers for bringing out specific cards and specific pokemon with celio/dragonair. attacks with sneasel/raikou/scyther(since they can both abuse rainbow/dark/dark metal powers, and if needed pidgeot and dragonite can fight)

any help with trainer selection? i've worked out most of the problems we might have, including rock-lock(this deck seems to be fast as hell with drawing, and should be able to race rock-lock) electrode ex is there for an emergency situation.

basically:help with my trainer choice(switch seems good since paying retreat costs is death for the low energy count, VS seeker to recycle prime support cards, shard/charm to get important hits, energy charge is good for recycling special energies, hideout since alot of the cards are rocket or dark)

...

You don't need very much energy in this deck, you can search them with Trode and/or move them with Draggy.

Thanks guys, Birch is soo gone.

As for the Electrode EX. Does anybody see the beauty of using it when your out of energy?

Extra Energy Bomb - Once during your turn (before your attack), you may discard Electrode EX and all the cards attached to it (this counts as Knocking Out Electrode EX). If you do, search your discard pile for 5 Energy cards and attach them to any of your Pokemon (excluding Pokemon-ex) in any way you like. This power can't be used if Electrode EX is affected by a Special Condition. (Poke-POWER)

That power works sometimes, only if you're super desperate.
That power works nice if you have two Electrode EX in play.
Sacrificing one to defeat your opponent.

Alright dude, i think that maybe you could do this
-1 Celio
-1 Switch
-1 Raikou ex
-2 Energy Charge
-1 Retriever
-1 Birch
-1 Trode ex
-1 Torb
-1 Dark Dragonair
-2 Seeker
-1 Hideout
+3 Steven
+1 Bill's maintenance
+2 Candy
+1 Pidgey
+1 Pidgeot
+2 Tomb
+2 Briney
+1 R Energy
This is how i would run my Draggy, bascally you make Draggy main attacker, and when he is heavily dmged, you briney up and send out another, and 3 R Energy from my experiecence is really helpful.

SuperTyranitar, what does your deck look like?
Do you play any other decks?
my deck looks like this
3 Dratini
2 Dark Dragonair
3 Dark Dragonite
1 Rocket's Sneasel Ex
1 Wobbuffet
2 Pidgey
1 Pidgeotto
2 Pidgeot
4 Dunsparce
2 Voltorb
2 Dark Trode
23 pokemon

3 Steven's advice
3 Bill's Maintenance
2 CopyCat
1 Crystal Shard
1 Strength Charm
1 Warp
2 Briney
3 Rare Candy
2 Ancient Tomb
2 Celio's network
1 Rocket ball
21 Trainers

4 Darkness energy
4 Dark Metal Energy
4 Rainbow Energy
3 R Energy
1 Lightning energy
16 Energy
And I do play alot of other decks such as Blaze, Magma, Metagross. And some rogue decks as well.

Worst thing happened. Last round determining my entry... Both pidgey's in prize pile. No possible way of drawing enough cards to get what i wanted trainers were always out fo reach. For some reason i decided to shuffle like in an akward way. I need to work on the trainer set.

Hey, I updated my deck. I've still got a trainer problem. Thus far that is what i've got thats worked best for me. I thought of putting ATM rock like Whicker in there, but Ive been unable to get the proper use out of it. Honestly it distracts my play.

Also I feel I might be low on draw cards, anyone agree?

Next tourny is too far away, timewise. I can't wait to go to pre-release.
