So now it appears that Rainbow energy is definately not reprinted in Unseen Forces the question is do you think the DragTrode decks will die or at the very least lose a huge amount of power? Will this level the playing field?

Why should it die?
We have Darkness nrg, dark/metal nrg and R nrg left over, that's 12 nrg , must be enough.
You can even used Multi nrg if you use the Trans Power in the right way. Stand Alone multi is each type and with other special nrg is provides colorless, but it can be used.

I would not recommend to use Multi, but instead some more lightning nrg.
We also play 1 Electrode Ex in our Dragtrode decks incase a full loaded Sneasel Ex get's knocked out.

decks that are weak to fighting have a hard time in the current metagame.
decks that are resistant to fighting don't fare much better!

rainbows removal from modified won't have much of an effect upon Dragtrodes viability.

I agree, Dark Trode isn't even the main attack... Esp in SpeedTrode, which in my opinion is the best of the DragTrode... Anyway Lightning energy is always an option for Dark Trode, that that will probally only happen when you need the type advantage. =/

because DRE can't be attached to the sneasel.
rainbow is in delta species. 100% *thumbs up*
note: i am not kidding--it is.

After worlds, no one will dare use Dragtrode anymore. Rock lock will still be around though.

peter, thats a pretty bold statement--can you like, at least explain why you don't think people will play dragtrode?

Thanks for the replys guys! I think DragTrode will be played (and successfully) but perhaps not as potent as before. As for BF and Mt.Moon killing it I disagree! At our recent Battlenet tourney the two top decks were two different versions of DragTrode that played Scott's and counter gyms and Mt Moon and BF didn't seem to trouble it! Let's see how it stands up to the new Unseen Forces decks!
