Drifting: A Tyranitar Deck

Tyranitar SF has two great attacks and a helpful PokePower. The trouble is that those attacks are very expensive and the power doesn’t always work. This isn’t a perfect solution, but it works quite well.

:dark:Pokémon (21)

4-2-4 Tyranitar SF
4-2 Drifblim DP/SF
2-2 Claydol
1 Unown G

:dark:Trainers (24)

4 Bebe’s Search
4 Felicity’s Drawing
3 Roseanne’s Research
4 Rare Candy
3 Warp Point
2 Night Maintenance
2 Luxury Ball
2 Moonlight Stadium

:dark:Energy (15)

4 Special Dark
11 Dark

:dark:Strategy

The ideal start is Drifloon, followed by a T2 Drifblim, I can then use its attack to get 2 Larvitars out with Energy attached, which gets multiple T-tars powered up a bit faster. Drifblim is a high utility card and its first attack makes playing 2 Luxury Ball worthwhile (which increases my chances of getting the Drifblim out in the first place). Warp + Moonlight is used for disruption/counter Stadium. Night Maintenance gets Pokémon and Energy back in the deck so I can re-use with Drifblim. Felicity is there to discard Energy to use with T-tar’s Power if the opponent is dependent on Powers themselves. The Unown G protects my Claydol from Dusknoir/Gengar decks.

afstandopleren: Yeah, I might drop a Warp Point for another Unown G, depending on how much Gengar/Dusknoir I see.

Joe: Togekiss is a different solution to T-tar's Energy cost. It takes a lot of resources, though (2-1-2 line + Candies I could use elsewhere), doesn't work with Special Dark, and is a bit risky. I don't like risky/lucky decks that much, so I was trying to make something that might be a bit slower, but would be more consistent.

Very solid and consistant list. I really rate Tyrannitar, beefy HP and great Poke Body.

How fast do you get a Tyrannitar hitting hard? Also to abuse its Poke Body, you could test a Lunatune.

Pokemon is like 50 percent luck anyways...I have a togekiss tyranitar deck with 2 darkrai 1 darkrai x and it works famously. One tyranitar powered up is rough to deal with, but i usually get 2 and sometimes 3 up and running.with those multiple damage spreads you can make quick work with ur opponent
