However, I believe the tournament they were to be released at never took place. Still, did any of these get into circulation?

In other words, they will be unofficially and improperly released once some employee lets them go to the public. They'll then circulate all over the world, and become instant $300 cards.

That's what I was getting at. I knew they weren't supposed to be released, but I was wondering if any had gotten out improperly as you mentioned.

Very unlikely, it´s Media Factory Japan we´re talking about here. All copies (if any were printed) were probably given to PCL.
