Heyo, as a quick intro, I've been playing since 2009, but lately the format has kept me away from tournaments. My lack of going to tournaments lead to a lacking collection, and Durant seems like the only vaguely viable thing I can build right now. Since I haven't been playing, I can only assume my idea of how to build a deck is outdated, so I'll probably need help with that.

Pokémon
4 Durant
2 Rotom
4 Pichu
1-1 Hypno

T/s/s
4 Oak's
4 Collector
4 Dual Ball
3 Sage's Training
4 Eviolite
4 Revive
2 N
4 Twins
3 Defender
1 Alph (prizes)
1 Communication
3 Junk Arm
2 Super Rod

nrg
4 sp. :metal:
2 :metal:
3 Rescue

Strategy
Collector or Dual Ball or Playground for a bunch of Durant, use Rotom to get them out of your prizes if necessary. Mill with Durant. Ok. 2-2 Yanmega is backup because I don't trust this deck.

Gotta take out the Yanmega for more consistency, you must trust your Durant! =p

I've liked using 1-1 Noctowl though most will disagree

Other choices include Hypno to stall sometimes, Spiritomb to make them maybe draw more, Weavile for more disruption, and Roaserade to also stall with status effects

I thought of Spiritomb, but then I looked through my binders and I didn't have any so I disregarded it.
I think I'm totally down for Roserade though.

- 2-2 Yanmega
+ 1-1 Roserade
+ 2 Rainbow

I'd recommend taking out the Roserade because you'll generally need to keep up with energy attaching onto Durant in mid to late game. If you want a support Pokemon, Hypno is a good choice. Then put those Rainbow and two of the Pokemon Communication, since the Trainers are the life blood of the deck. Also find room for some Pokemon Catcher as they make great stall.

I think you need to be careful with durant because it only has 79Hp and can get one shotted easily. Maybe add some other stuff, like well i dunno

Maybe some rocky helmets because once durant dies with the eviolite, its gone

I've just been agreeing with everything

But with Durant you're focus isnt on damage, it's on decking out your opponent. Odds are, that those 2 damage counters aren't going to help in the long run so I agree with Flareon, if you have Defenders and Eviolites then use them instead.

Maybe you could give us an idea of what trainers/supporters/stadiums that you do have? Then we'd be of more help :thumb:

Helmets are pointlss, 2 damage counters won't slow anything down, and you won't be hitting at all. If you need more Eviolites, Junk Arm.

Rocky Helmet actually helps your opponent, not only does it give you less consistency if I reshiram attacks a durant with rocky helmet it gives it enough outrage to KO a durant without an eviolite or defender... NO recky helmet...

You need to find room for junk arm... you can re-use defender, eviolite, revive, which can all save you in a game...

I also think that 4 pichu is overkill !!! you can collector for them or dual ball for one....

I don't like the fact you have only 6 metal energy in the deck that you can use to attack with, 4 of those energy can be discarded easily through lost remover and you only have recovery on 2 energy in the form of flower shop lady, I think your gonna have energy problems but I could be wrong...

No rocky helmet. Get some Junk Arms, that way you can reuse Revives, Dual Balls, Defenders, and Eviolites.

A few Mime Jrs could also take the place of some Pichus, as they can help mill if you cant get durant going. Late game, they become great Junk Arm fodder.

I'm not a fan of rescue in here. You want to be attaching Metal T1, and oftentimes you wont have that many opportunities to attach multiple energy to a single durant.

FlowerShopLady is fine, but also consider Super Rod.

Not necessarily true. Having 4 Pichu ups your chances of starting with something to set-up with. Afterwards it can be used for Junk Arm.

Speaking of 4 Junk Arm, 1 more Twins, and 2 Super Rods (they're a nice combo with Dual Ball or Collector if you don't have Revives in hand.)

Take out 2 Communication as you only need them for Hypno, the 2 Rocky Helmets (reasons listed in other posts) and the three Juniper (you don't want to discard helpful resources, and most hands will be useful with PONT) Also if you can replace the PONT with N. It serves the same purpose with the added disruption to your opponent's hand.
