Durant Mill - what other Pokemon should be included?

So far, I've put in Weaviles and Rotoms. Is there any other Pokemon that might run well with Durant, instead of them or with them? I like Weavile but it's proving not to be too much of a help at the moment.

Other solid options are:
Hypno
Mime Jr (in case of ross decks, gives you that last turn of mill/lost zone)
Driffblim (forces them to leave more than one pokemon on the field, can shuffle in their main attacker)
Roserade (A bit clunky)
Cobalion (To wall and take prizes as they're so low on resources they cannot fight back very well)
Steelix (See Cobalion, but much worse due to retreat cost)
Scizor (See Cobalion, but slightly less good)

Cleffa (In case of horrible hands neededing recovery)
Tyrogue (win on your first turn if they flip over anything like solosis or the 30hp eel

I was thinking about using Cobalion. Cleffa and Tyrogue sound like a good idea. I'll probably go with a Tyrogue. Thanks.

Don't put larvitar in, you may as well be attacking with a single durant at that rate.

Not sure why you need Tyrogue in a Durant deck.. (No smart player would use the 30HP eel). At the rate of doing a 30 damage T1, you may as well use DCE, which means you can also use drifblim.

Cobalion works in some builds well.

The durant that won a city's already only played 4 durant and 1 rotom.
The deck dose not need other pokemon taking up space for other cards such as: C-hammer,Catcher,Junk arm,Revive,Etc

Regarding 30hp eel: is useful after kos to ensure you can recover your main attacker and make sure it has enough energy to attack.
Durant decks dont want too many pokemon with retreat costs who arent durant, unless you play several switch. That first turn devour is critical.

Wowwwwwwww...... I love this place.

The 30HP Eel is used as a one-of in Eel decks for the versatility of having a Free Retreater. it is a staple in any Eel deck.
edit: ninja'd

I meant as in only using the 30HP eel (i.e. 3 of them) , at which point there's little point of running tyrogue for that reason, as you're more likely going to get donked yourself because you start with it.

Sorry I didn't make that clear :|

Although I agree the deck doesn't need really anything besides Durant and Rotom, quite a few builds I've seen have Pichu HG/SS as a backup plan to set up Durant.

I like playing it with Archeops.

I've played it with Misdreaveus/Mismagius as well and its not bad, but you do have to split your energy typing.

Lots of ways to play durant.

^ archeops really slows the whole deck down, as ot takes to much space, and is nearly impossible to get out with the new fossil thing.

I run 4 Durrant, 1 Rotom, 3 Cobalion and a 2-2 Driffblim, Works great, mill them to death to start, then when they get something built up make it dissapear with Drifblim, then Take prizes with Cobalion, I have decked my opponet out many times, but more often I have won on Prizes. As long as you dont run into a Fire deck you will be fine. You will have the advantage against most others.

Well, the problem with Durant is it doesn't do much damage! So you should consider Lugia Legend, it does 200 damage so you can kill all your enemies!

I think actually that cubone is better because it can actually do more than 200 damage, because if you get 11 heads, it does 220 damage, so yeah.

4 durant, 1 rotom, mabye cleffa, maybe pichu. that's it. the more basics you put in the more you ruin the chance of acutally milling for four turn one. especially other pokemon that have a retreat cost. The sneasels are all right, and the drifblim doesn't pack as much a punch as one would think, if you play it then your opponent will know to lay down another pokemon, if they're not dumb a pokemon with one or none retreat cost, tech ruined.

Most Durant builds are not designed around doing damage; rather, they are designed around milling your opponent's deck. And while some builds do manage to work with damage (mill half of their deck, and then attack), most that I have seen do not.

In any case, OP...test. If you're taking the Durant deck to a Cities, then you should consider the metagame in your area. Are there lots of Stage Two decks? You should run straight Durant Mill. Is Mew a problem? Perhaps you should consider teching in a Cobalion. Do high-energy Pokemon get in your way? Rainbow Energy + Rotom should be considered.

Just be careful- if you overtech, then you won't have room for cards like Crushing Hammer and Lost Remover (as somebody mentioned before), which play a crucial role in energy denial (stalling).

All of this being said, my preferred Durant deck is four Durants and two Rotoms- no more Pokemon, no less Pokemon.

Yes, but millling half the deck and then sweeping to victory with KO's is very effective. And if they start cathering up your KO attackers then they are not KO'ing your Durants so in that case keep milling them and go for the deckout. IF they start KO'ing your Durants then switch to KOing them back. By then they will be short ressources and you will have the advantage. Durant can win multiple ways. It is its versitlity that makes it so good. And it just destroys set up decks.

I am not planning on taking Durant to cities. Local Cities are already over for me and I didn't use it. I'm probably just going to use it at the league and MAYBE spring battle roads.

I have four durants and two rotoms, and then 2-2 Hypno. I'm thinking about adding Cobalion.
