This is my new deck working with some of the known upcoming cards from the Unleashed (UL) set! ...As you can see. Also, as another obvious note, this is no longer called DuskBat as I have replaced Dusknoir with Metagross. Now it's called something else that's clever, like MetaBat. Or CroGross or GrossBat. I'm taking suggestions on this as well, haha.

Anyway, the strategy is to use Weezing as a tech on the bench while using Crobat UL to poison my opponent for a whopping 50 damage in between turns. When Crobat gets tired, he switches out with Metagross who, equipped with E-Belt and just 1 energy, hits for 80 and has free retreats due to his PokeBody. Once he gets 3 energy on him, he can snipe two pokes for 40 each, which is not bad at all. Add in some Crobat G Flashbiting + PokeTurn, and you can pull off two easy prizes right there while your opponent's active takes the 50 in between turns from poison. And there's your third prize. Wash, rinse, and repeat, and you've won. A little bit idealistic perhaps, but I haven't play-tested it yet, so we'll see.

4-2-4 Crobat UL
3 Crobat [G] PL
2-1-2 Metagross UL
2-2 Weezing GE
1-1 Claydol GE
1 Azelf
( Pokes: 25 )

4x Rare Candy
4x Poke Turn
3x Bebe's Search
3x Roseanne's Research
3x Broken Time-Space
3x Expert Belt
2x Cynthia's Feelings
2x Pokemon Communication
2x Night Maintenance
1x Luxury Ball
( T/S/S: 27 )

8x Psychic Energy
( Energy: 8 )

------------------------------------------------------------
Translation for Crobat UL

Crobat (Prime) - Psychic - 130 HP
Stage 2 - Evolves from Golbat

[P] Severe Poison: The Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned. Put 4 damage counters instead of 1 on that Pokemon between turns.
[P] Skill Dive: Choose 1 of your opponent’s Pokemon. This attack does 30 damage to that Pokemon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)

Weakness: Lightning (x2)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 0

------------------------------------------------------------
Translation for Metagross UL

Metagross - Psychic - 130 HP
Stage 2 - Evolves from Metang

PokeBody: Psycho Float - If any of your active Pokemon has a Psychic Energy attached to it, its retreat cost is 0.
[C] Pulse Blast - 60
[P][P][P] Double Leg Hammer - Does 40 damage to two of your opponent's benched Pokemon.

Weakness: Psychic (x2)
Reisstance: None
Retreat: [C][C][C][C]

You also might want to consider Dusknoir Lv. X for the spread when it gets knocked out. With a heavy Dusknoir line, Dusknoir DP is also an option for a sudden Dark Palm. I also think that Warp Points/Switches/Moonlight Stadiums would help, since it is a pain to deal with Dusknoir's Retreat Cost.

Wow, I can't believe I forgot PokeTurn! ><

Lots of great suggestions though, both of you. I'd rather stay away from Dusknoir DP though, and as for the Warp Points and Switches, you are absolutely right. Unfortunately, I have no idea what to replace for them.

Any ideas?

if ur running miasma valley, use the psychic baltoy.

oh and just to clarify, its not psy/dark but psy/grass miasma doesn't hit :)

When I was thinking about this deck, the first things I thought about were Honchcrow G for sniping or Galade E4 LV.X. I don't know what you want to do, but these cards looked really good with this deck. Oh, and what about toxicroak MT?

@Skovtrold: Oh, that's right. Good idea about the Psy Baltoy!

@Darkrai: Honchcrow G is good for sniping, but Crobat does that pretty well too. I may consider it, but it doesn't go along much with my theme.
With Gallade E4 Lv.X, it's sort of the same deal. It's alright for hitting the benches, but that's not so much what I'm going for. I do use Crobat G for that, but it's really only for some occasional extra damage or for setting up Dusknoir.
Now Toxicroak MT is one that I could really see using a lot. It would be an excellent tech, but I'm still not really sure what I would take out for it. =/

The problem also remains considering what to take out for the Warp Points / Switches / Moonlight Stadiums. Any ideas?

Use UL Metagross for free retreats on those with a Psychic energy attached. Just run a 1-1-1 line or maybe a 1-0-1 line RC's.

Wow, holy crap! Not only is that PokeBody awesome, according to the translation on Seribii.net it has an attack that does 60 dmg for 1 colorless energy. That is truly wicked, almost as awesome as Donphan! Thanks for the suggestion. ^^

Now, where to put it...

EDIT:

Well, I dunno. Should I use Metagross or Moonlight Stadium? Metagross has an advantage because if my opponent has Psychic pokemon, he/she can't benefit from my Metagross, and there's always the chance for donking with him because of the 1 cost 60 dmg attack. On the other hand, Metagross is a stage 2 pokemon, which makes him a little difficult to play, and most Psychic players already have a Moonlight Stadium anyway...

Which do you all think is better?

Ya metagross looks like a good card. Honestly dude, i would consider taking out the dusknoir line. The way I invision this deck, I see just dropping crobats all over the place and using those. Toxicroaks are good attackers if you want them, and i noticed that crobat MT was pretty good.

- 2 pokemon communication
- 1 BTS
+1-1-1 Metagross UL

Someother ideas (not sure if they would work)
gliscor promo (keeps poison if the level up/evolve)
Toxicroak MT (same as gliscor but psychic type)
Ariados MT (Increases retreat cost, not a problem for you if you have metagross in play)

Yeah, I just ended up getting rid of Dusknoir. Metagross, ftw!

Nice. Now, one thing I just noticed was the expert belt. If i were you, I would take one out for another communication or roseannes to help you just drop bats and help poison and KO everything.

serebii.net is a terrible website. go to pokebeach.com, much better when it comes to TCG spoilers. the translation for metagroos and some other cards on serebii is wrong. go to pokebeach.com to see the english scans, but metagross's first attack takes 2 colorless energy, not 1.

@Darkrai: Well, I was originally wanting to keep the three belts because that would have made Metagross' Pulse Blast deal 80 damage for 1 energy, but now that I see the translation is wrong, I probably won't bother with the attack much. Good suggestion, ;D

@Silly: Yeah, I see that now... Y_Y That blows. Still running 'Gross though.
