I get there, trade for a few cards, edit my deck, then get registered.
21 seniors, 5 rounds, top 4.
Round one vs. IDK w/luxchomp.
We both have terribad starts and don't get anything rolling by about turn six.
I get a gengar out and start sniping.
He gets luxray out and does 60 to gengar.
I knock out luxray.
He puts down crobat, and then seekers, then he uses bannette PL to finish off my gengar while bypassing fainting spell and rescue energy.
I get a haunter, he dragon rushes it.
I put a gastly on the bench, he knocks it out somehow. (i don't remember, it was a long day.)
My last gastly is prized, i scoop.

Round two vs. girl w/kingchamp
I get out two gengar SF and sweeeeeep.
GG, though.

I eat chick fil' a.
Round three vs. Matthew w/awesome keclieon rogue.
I t2 get out 2 gengars and vileplume(I was surprized, too.)
He struggles to knock them out, i roll heads on every fainting spell flip.
His fatal mistake was attaching expert belt to his keclieon a little too early.

Round four vs. Mychal Bryan w/mirror.
He stars out the game saying "I'm a noob, this is my first tourney."
I say "you're 3-0...." We go through a massive prize exchange and near the end we're 2-2 in terms of prizes.
He uses gengar prime to lost zone my last gengar.
I can't draw into palmer's and I realize my last haunter is prized
so i scoop.
He then reveals to me that he in fact got 2nd at words this year! (how could i not recognize him?!)
He tells me i have a great deck and that this was probably his best game of the entire marathon.
I take that as a compliment and say "thanks." I remember that since he got 2nd at worlds, he automaticly gets an invite for this year. I tell him, similing; "i'm gonna get revenge at worlds"
He says: "Make that your goal and we'll see, you may win."

I came to this tourney mainly for points, so i play one more round knowing i won't make the cut.
round five vs. Tristin w/donchamp.
I get out two gengars and sweeeep!
GG, though.
