HGSS-on Eelzone for States - Need Help!

Hey guys. I'm kind of freaking out about States, so any advice would be really appreciated.
I want to make it more competitive for States sice all of the EXs are coming out. I don't have a Mewtwo, and unfortunately at the current price I can't afford one.

Strategy:
Get 2+ Eels on the bench, get few prizes with Zekrom/Zekrom EX, and sweep with Magnezone.

I am doing okay in testing against CMT, but a Mewtwo EX counter would really help. I haven't tested against it with this current list, but older versions of my deck have had trouble against Zek/Eels. Unfortunately, those happen to be the two best decks out there right now...
Any ideas on how to slow them down? And thanks in advance!

raginglugia, I usually can get 2 Eels out pretty easily, especially with the changes I just made to my list. And what would I remove to add the 1-1 line?

eels are not the problem they are too weak early on n they will be easily catchered n then KO'd you want to make sure you have at least a couple eels out so u can dynamotor, i would maximize n's n take out junipers

So I updated the list with my most recent choices. I'm thinking about dropping the DCE again, but it has been pretty useful in some situations.

Any advice???
 
You are probably not going to need twins. If you get a Mewtwo then you should replace the Zekrom and maybe you can put in a 1-1 Dodrio line in for the Twins. Its just a suggestion.

Here maybe this will give you something to work with:

-2 Twins


+1-1 Dodrio, 2Thudurus, or sometype of other tech

What about dropping Twins for a Switch and a Catcher? I feel like those two cards are the ones I am always Junk Arming.

I'll think about Dodrio, but Thundurus isn't my favorite. It never worked well for me after EXs came in. Ironically, I have 4 of them.

I took out Cleffa for Thundurus, and so far it has worked pretty well. I also added 2 DCE to help with Zekrom EX.

Just to reiterate, I'm kind of freaking out about States (first time), so any advice would really help. Thanks!
 
I'm running almost this exact same deck and took Cleffa out myself. Works way better without Cleffa, because if you start with that Pkmn then you can lose in your first turn. Try running 3 PONT and only 1-2 N's, ultimately works better since you get prizes faster with Zekrom EX and Zekrom. My Pokemon right now are: 3-1-3 Magnezone, 3-3 Eel, 2 Zekrom EX, 1 Zekrom, 2 Thundurus. Running 2 Zekrom EX's is amazing if you can get your hands on another since you might have one in your prizes if you're unlucky.
 
I actually just bought the Zekrom EX tin at Target today (they messed up and put them out WAY early), and since Zekrom is an exact reprint of the current card, is is legal for States. Yay! Anyway, I think I'll drop 1 Magneton for that then.
However, N is much more useful in Eelzone than PONT. With Magnezone out (which is most of the time), you can get a new hand, use Magnetic Draw, and hopefully screw with your opponent. I was actually thinking about turning my last PONT into an N, but I'll have to test a bit more.
