i have been battluing with my eevee deck for 2 weeks now since the seattle pre-release and to tell u the truth it really isnt as strong as it seems it would be
i barely get the eevee's out and when i do i barely win or i get clobered and its my conclusing are the eevee decks really that slow???:confused:

[del]What Eevee deck are you playing?[/del]EDIT: Oh... See the bottom for my thoughts on that kind of Eevee-lution <_<"

Original post:

I tried out Glaceon and... Pretty much it (Espeon and Umbreon, but meh, those don't count) and I noticed three problems.
1) Lack of reliable recovery from KOs
2) Low enough HP to be Two-shot by everything (Garde has this as well, but is much easier to do recovery with)
3) Underwhelming damage (again, Garde has same problem, but is MUCH easier to support, especially since its power lock ISN'T broken by Warp Point)

...Leafeon might be able to answer all of those questions. Simply swarm with Leafeon #7 and only play one Leafeon LV.X, then flood energy onto everything fairly evenly and deal damage with Leafeons rather then the X. Your recovery is a lot safer since everything has energy as opposed to only a LV.X who you NEED out. The HP's fairly high on Leafeons, particularly on the LV.X whom has enough that Garde isn't going to two hit KO it (with Espeon, of course). OBVIOUSLY Leafeon LV.X has a HUGE damage potential, so three doesn't apply either.

...Running EVERY Eevee-lution though just asks for trouble, me thinks. Glaceon deck alone had enough trouble trying to allocate Eevees to evolve, and that's ONLY with Glaceon, Espeon, and Umbreon  But Leafeon... Maybe that has the ability to fill in the gaps that Glaceon leaves, though Glaceon is probably the single coolest card in the set [del]I love Garchomp more, but couldn't resist the pun ;_;[/del]

I run leafeon, glaceon, jolteon, umbreon and espeon(still trying to experiment with them) and i can say that most of the times you will have an eeveelutions by T2 or T3. And it's quiet fast, the problem is that they can't deal any big damage(except for leafeon and for attacking with weakness.

Their HP is OK with espeon. You have to consider that they are stage 1 pokemon.

ya..well i changed the line of my pokemon i took out jolteon adn flareon and put in 2 vaps for the whirlpool and i battle my lil bro against his mag deck and i got 5 heads lol andthat totally knocked him down so ya:lol::lol:

No, Vaporeon is a tech if you're facing too many Empoleon/Omastar decks in your area. And IMO both regular Glaceon are very very BAD, Glaceon Lv X is the solution to that problem but..

I do agree that it can be hard to setup but in my Leafeon deck I just run a 2-2 Leafeon Lv.X line and 1 Umbreon with 4 eevee. It works pretty well. I think the problem that occurs with the Eeveelutions is that people try to add too many of the evolutions in the deck. My personal feeling is that more then 3 different Eeveelutions in the deck just slows it down and makes it harder to setup.

Yes, that's the problem. People run too many Eeveelutions, too little Claydol and too much generic/random draw.

either run Glacy Umby Espy or Leafy Umby Espy, others are useless since they have no bodies/powers and their attacks arent game changing. Also your trainer line has to be good so dont just throw random stuff in and it will work better.

When I get the chance I'll post my Leafeon Lv.X deck but it essentially runs a 4-2-2 Leafeon Lv.X line plus 1 umbreon, a 2-1-2 Sceptile, a 2-2 Tangrowth, and a 2-2 Claydol. The one thing that I have found that kills my deck though is Dusknoir and other pokemon that force your bench to be small, but its still possible to work around those.

My biggest problem with eevee decks is trying to get the Lv.X's. Almost everyone who pulls one won't trade it, so I had to end up borrowing 2 Leafeon Lv.X's for battle roads. I plan on getting the Lv.X's eventually but right now no one in my area is willing to trade for them.

Your deckbuilding is wrong. my eevelutions its pretty easy to setup, and it runs fast. almost every game i have turn 3: Claydol, glaceon, espeon, umbreon, and 3 energy charged on glaceon, and the lvx coming. vaporeon is great since you can retreat your glcy and heal it for about 2 turns, then glacy makes its comeback. NM its a must, and run about 3, just after an eevee gets kod, use it. Really this people doesnt know the deck, but youll see.....one day everyone will use it.
Happened with g&g they used to say "an stage 2 lvx line with just four basics???it will never work"

ya i know but i dnt have glaceon LVX and itraded mine for leafoen LVx biggest mistake of my life v_v

Jolteon is great in the deck, it can stall and do nice damage when needed, Vaporeon? No way!

Try using a simple line, for example:

x4 Eevee
x2/2 Leafeon
x2/2 Glaceon
x1 Joelton
x1 Umbreon
x1 Espeon
x2/2 Claydol

You could also add Phione and many other Teches, the good thing about the deck is that you can build it in many ways.

No, you only want 2 Espy/Umbry each and then 2-2 of either Leaf, Glace or both. Don't bother with the others, thats why your deck is slow. 1 Vap might be manageable. I would say either focus on Glaceon/Empoleon or Leafeon/Sceptile, or some fast mix of Glaceon and Leafeon.

That is a great evee line. Simple is the key with eveelutions.
