Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Effective bench snipers?

If you're using Garchomp C's Dragon Rush to snipe the bench, you are usually picking targets with 80HP or less. Burn the DCE and move on, because it netted you a prize. That's how Luxchomp decks do it.

But if you really want to try to retrieve those special energies, Manectric G can do it, and then use Bronzong G to move them to someone else.

If you're looking for something that can hit multiple Pokemon, Infernape 4 Split Bomb is a decent attack. Or maybe you want true spread like Abomasnow Snow Play.

That actually sounds like a pretty decent idea, losjackal.

I can work to get out a Dodrio UD to my bench for a lowered retreat cost. Bring out Garchomp C for the snipe and retreat next turn to Manectric G to gather energies. Manectric then has free retreat due to Dodrio, then keep recycling. Only problem I see with that is a mirror match, or with Bronzong G taking too much damage and knocking itself out. I'll need to refresh him with either SSU and replay Garchomp C, or run a Blissey or something.

Although that is true, I don't see how I can continue to keep getting back its discarded energy.

Run it with Electivire FB Lv. X, my current deck is streaming beautifully, and consistently, and it combos the two. Can't tell you how awesome it is to throw down two garchomp on the bench, and drop two spent DCE on them.

Have you ever had it power sprayed? Your turn still ends if it does get sprayed.

Yes, but it's fairly rare. Most decks burn through sprays on Uxies, Azelf, Galatic Switch, Flash Bite, Healing Breath... It will happen, but usually if you're using it it's because you couldn't knock something out that turn because you needed another turn to attach. Choose between doing x damage to something that will be cured with healing breath, or taking the chance with energy recycle. Not to mention Electivire makes a pretty good back-up attacker, and dump and draw can help pull yourself out of a bad start.

Quoted for truth.

Also, though I'm not sure how this deck will work in actual play, I plan to run Vileplume as well. I suppose it is a bit odd, running a sort of SP hybrid, and I'm not sure how well it will be, but in theory it does seem to play well.

Anyway, getting a Vileplume out early-on to my bench would prevent sprays, I believe. My general plan is to Parasect SV for a 75% chance at sleep, retreat it for 2x Garchomp C Lv. X's. After attaching the 2 Energy Gains to them and 2 DCE's on them, I can bring out one for a Rush, retreat for the other and Rush. Electivire FB lv. X every 2 turns to recycle the DCE's and a Grass for Parasect in case it gets awakened. Poketurns used sparingly to cause Healing Breath in case Vileplume or my bench supporters get too much damage.

I may put in a Manectric PL for a bench shield.

You do realize vileplume shuts down both players? You won't be energy gaining, poke turning, or anything of the such as long as it is on the field. Personally, I run a strait SP list for my Chompvire. I don't really feel comfortable posting the whole list on the net, but I can say that vileplume probably wouldn't be much help to you. I tried tomb in my list originally, but luxray, and dialga have a way of getting around that. Even plume can be bright looked, and then KO'd with its massive retreat. Anyways, toss me a PM if you need more personal help (before this topic goes any further away from bench snipes). I'll PM you my list if you need an idea.
