electabuzz uf and boost

if i have an electabuzz uf out with one lightning energy on him and i attach a boost for my turn..does the boost just get discarded or does the electric get discarded too since the boost discards itself?

Boost Energy reads "Discard Boost Energy at the end of the turn it was attached." The end of your turn happens after all of the attack steps have been resolved, including paying attack costs or requirements. So you can discard the boost as your three energies for luster blast, because that happens before the end of your turn "phase" when Boost would normally discard itself.

Course you couldn't Attach Boost to Electabuzz (unless it Evolved from Elekid)......
