No. do you know what would be awesome!? it would be great if the Trainer Kit 3 had Dragonite DS in it. Or, if it had Holon Trancievers and the rest of the holon trainers. that would make this deck even better.
electivire isn't bad, its just that lost tons of power. so did a lot of other decks and a deck that can find the flygons consistently will do fine, just not great IMHO
my friend tried the flygon ex d tech for our mario heavy matchup, it did alright for him, but either he couldn't find it, or he found it when he wnted another flygon, plus it doesnt even OHKO machamp
Holon engine is not a must in an electrive deck, so it won't hurt him too much. Other decks like infernape needed holon engine, so those decks won't be so good.
I think that stadiums are needed to counter crystal beach and those battle frontiers early in the game. Lake boundary(lake barrier) will help you to OHKO machamp with flygon ex d, OHKO lightning weak pokemon with electrive attack without discarding energy.
also need stadiums to fish out your opponent's stadiums for electivire to hit. I've played forms of this deck for awhile and I can see when the opponent needs to play his killer stadium but won't because he know's how bad he'll pay for it.
Also, are the deck lists in the first post up-to-date? I need to rebuild by deck now that dragonite is gone, so i want the decklist(s) for the deck(s) being discussed here.
Electivire needs windstorm. I playtested against my Mario for 12 games and my friend REALLY was hurting for a windstorm in most of the games. He was using the Magneton/Raichu version. As for how confident you are about getting a Lv.X 'Vire out my friend had a very difficult time doing it. He got it out once. What this deck needs is something to make it consistently faster than Mario. My suggestion is -2L.B. and add 2 windstorm.
The lvl X should take the place of the windstorm, but naturally it's a hard card to get out. Personally, i'm not a big fan of the lake barrier either, but i need to playtest it a few more times. Im not objecting to windstorms, but I think we need to find a way to make the deck go faster.
