Today's PreRelease was So GOOD.

I'd like to thank the good folks of Newport News, VA Beach, and Richmond for dropping in and getting us to a great turnout of players!

Warsaw represented well! (thanks!)

SUPER BIG UPS to D.Tuskey and everyone that attended to make this the historical FIRST ever Premier TCG event to be held in the Northern Neck Region of Virginia.

That was just amazing :)

Thank you so much.

More powers emerge this weekend--Richmond's Lakeside area at Collector's Heaven on Sat, and in Warrenton at Hobbies, Etc. on Sunday. BOOSTER DRAFTS after the main event will be offered each day, so pack a little extra $$ if you'd like to draft!!!!

All systems are "go" for Richmond on Sat and Warrenton on Sunday; however, Tidewater players in particular should pay close attention to weather reports. i don't want any of you to be stranded up here or run into tropical storm force winds on your way home.

Irene doesm't appear to get to Richmond until later Saturday, so I doubt the prerelease will be affected beyond keeping some younger players away (gotta keep Juniors dry: sugar melts!). The booster draft is probably ok as well, but Collectors' League may end early. Fortunately the store has access to Weather Channel and all the local weather stations by cable. If you're concerned about driving in high winds at night, pack a overnight kit; we'll find room somehow. (Hmm, I might have to move some Pokemon cards off my furniture...)

Sunday in Warrenton looks good. Irene should be well into New York/New England by then, and soon forgot. :thumb:

Yeah I think I'm going to take the whole better safe than sorry route and just avoid the whole thing. Have fun y'all!

Zach, I think Richmond will be fine. Getting yourself back home to Tidewater after the event on Saturday might be another matter...

Any last minute cancellations for either Richmond or Warrenton will be posted on Virginia Pokémon on the front page. I will also add a post to the bottom of this thread.

However, at this point BOTH Saturday's and Sunday's events are on!!!!

I know Richmond should be good, but yeah I've seen a few road closures here and I don't want to be alienated from home if something happens.

there's no way we're getting out. my classes were cancelled so i thought i'd meet up with you all for the first time since states, but oh well. see youz guyz at br's.

Hey tidewater folks!

Its expected the downtown and midtown tunnels will close starting at noon and the hrbt will close at 6. It may change but have a plan if you can't get back home.
