energy retrieval

here's the question i have the old version of energy retrieval from base set and i know it's been remade but the old one and new one have different rules the old enery retrieval say's Trade 1 of the other cards in your hand for up to 2 basic Energy cards from your discard pile. and the new energy retrieval say's Put 2 basic Energy cards from your discard pile into your hand now which one do i follow the old energy retrieval or the new one

There is a rule in Pokemon known as "most recent printing".

You always use the text of the most recent printing.
even if you are using one of the old cards.
And, to use that old card in a sanctioned tournament you must also have a reference, new card available to show your opponent.
