Enigma Stone Event!

It has been officially announced that the Enigma Stone Event will be up for downloads via WiFi from July 31 - August 27. This is the event when you take the stone to the Pewter City Museum and then Latios in HG or Latias in SS will appear and be up for capture. Unlike past event Pokemon this one will grant you a stationary legendary Pokemon. Meaning you can use Synchronize to get the nature you want or soft reset for IV's or Shininess.

This is an event I was waiting for. Time for me to get my Latios!!

PS: just did the pokemon brown link and LOL'd cyber.

Olliver, you only get one.
latias in soulsilver. (as latios is roaming)
latios in heartgold. (as latias is roaming)
So you will be able to get both of them with only one game card now. Plus a soul dew. (yay!)
Once I can find a place that has wifi, I'll get it. (As my wifi at my house is encrypted in a way, where ds cards don't support it, but my DSi does talk about a bunch of crap)
 
EVs with the Enigma Stone

On HGSS games, there is a wi-fi event from a couple days ago to August 31st. In Heartgold, you can catch latios and in Soulsilver you can catch latias. You get the enigma stone and bring it to pewter museum and the researcher will give you soul dew. latios/latias will be waiting outside. I wouldn't catch them if i were you. You could, but you would miss out on a lot. Because latios/latias is attracted to your soul dew, knocking it out wont matter because as soon as you go into a house or something, it comes back to it's spot outside pewter gym. For latios, beating it gives you 3 special attack ev points. Latas 3 special defence ev points. This tactic is perfect foe ev-ing. :thumb:

You could do this a few times, and it's good because of their moderetly low level, but I'd catch them eventually. Want Sp atk? Go kill a ton of roselia.

I got mine on Saturday. Got to love wandering around my apartment complex and finding an unlocked signal...
 
^ No clue as of yet, I check Serebii for info on wi-fi events. But, we can have clues as to the possable pokies that might be released via NWC here in the states and we usualy get the pokies with in a six too twelve month time frame after Japan.
The latest two pokies announced to be "wi-fi" Japan is Ash's Pikachu and a Celebi, the one's prior are the Goon's Scizor and the Three L-dogs. ( movie mutts), so we can only hope that we are blessed with being able to download these event pokies.
 
The Dogs, Celebi, etc will probably be a TRU download when it gets closer to us getting the New Movie. It will be interesting to see how they do the Shiny dogs for download. Might have to choose one or the other. Or may release them a few weeks apart. But only time will tell. Sucks for me on doing TRU downloads as we don't have one near us. So i have to Travel to do it. And that can get spendy over time.
 
^ don't forget that Gamestop stores are doing downloads as well. I am not sure as to how the stores are selected to do pokie releases, but TRU and Gamestop have not held the same events.

The dogs might be released sometime this fall, as the 12th movie is the only thing schedualed to be in stores and If TRU sells/carries it, they may do the dog event then to support pokemon players. ( and the dogs have Nothing to do with the 12th movie, it is the only pokemon thing to expect out in the meantime and TRU likes to advertise the sales of murchandise by adding in something to draw in customers. Like a download or a sale.)

The event draws very much closer to ending.
Friday the 27th of August, you will have a last chance to get the Enigma stone.
