Espeon's power only works when you evolve it from your hand, and with Surprise! Time Machine, your not evolving from your hand, but your deck instead. Now if Espeon EX does say whenever it is evolved, than sure, it will work. I'm not 100% confident what Espeon EX says exactly.

That card is nice with Dark Ampharos since Devo Flash and the first attack are the ideal match with him and it also benefits from the current Battle Frontier counter to current Rocket decks. The new attachable tools are also rather nice and could increase this cards effectiveness even more.
 
Hmm. What to choose. Hit for 90 for 3, which is pretty darn good, or counter the gym that makes your dark ampharos totally useless. Too bad you can't pick Espeon EX up and use it again.
 
Hi Prime,

There can be three of them and two to three trick stadiums for Dark Ampharos. Beside that there is still ancient rock to further slow them down. Espeon Ex also makes those Rocket's Administrators real nice in this deck. Devo Flash and send the evolution back to their deck :D.
 
dont play espeon ex with dark amphy. why? well battle frontier is a must in an espyex deck. also devo flash isnt that great the power of espy ex is in its 2nd attack not its power. its a nice addition to it but its not soo good that u should play it with scoop ups
