Espeon Prime a viable tech in Umbreon decks

A friend of mine recently started teching in Espeon Prime into his Umbreon UD deck. With its ability to use Moonlight Fang, and yet hit for Psychic damage to out-damage Machamp, it seems like it'd be a good option. Anyone else have any thoughts about this tech?
 
For me Espeon is absolutely a necessary tech in a Eevee deck.
Not only for Machamp, it's good for use any attack without send active always different eevee evolution.
 
i would say theres got to be something better

it needs an expert belt to do 80 with moonlight fang, which will lead to your oppenent taking 2 prizes in about the same amount of time it does for you to take 2 (assuming you have espeon md in play to survive 3 take outs)

and without an expert belt your just killing each other in 3 hits

so really it more turns it into a prize race

maybe you could run it with umbreon prime so you can one shot it with evoblast and a belt
but that would take more time to set up, and at that point it may just be better to use umbreon prime to do it
 
Let people build their Eevees, they're fun.
And if you build an Eevee deck, Espeon Prime is always a neat card for its versatility. Not just Moonlight Fang, but Umbreon Prime's attack as well can lay the smackdown on Machamp.
