EX Deoxys Prerelease 2/13 at Pastimes (Niles, IL) UPDATED INFO!

Depending on prize structure, I might be coming with Rulemaster and Pokewisconsin. Otherwise I'll probably go home for the weekend to green bay and maybe go to the prerelease in manitowoc. I need to know by late afternoon tomorrow so I can make plans.

Obviouisly there will be alot given away. Remember a $5 2 vs 2 modified event will take place after the main flight. I would advise that everyone touch up on the rules for 2 vs 2 as they are a bit more complex than the regular rules. See you all there!

No. Deoxys cards only become legal for sanctioned play on the 14th.
 
Thats correct, EX deoxys are not legal for modified until this comming monday, when they officially go on sale. Sorry about the details, I didnt get the until recently, and I didnt plan the prizes, it was the store.
 
Only 4.5 hrs to go. I was looking over the Pastimes page, and it said that DRAFTs will be run after the main event. Is this true, or will it only be the 2v2? I'm always up for drafting, even after a sealed event...
 
The more ppl that come, the more prizes we get!!! C'mon! Where would you go then? Or is it a family thing?
 
While drafts are always a possiblity, a lot more people have already shown intrest in doing 2 v 2 modifed since it is a fun format that we dont get a chance to do that often. If enough people wanted to draft (minimum of 8) we could have a draft, but more likeley most people will choose the 2 v 2. Hey maybe we can even sanction the 2 v 2 as well, how does that sound?
 
Well I dont know what you all thought but I think that that was a great event, and we did endup having 8 people to start a modifed 2 v 2 tournament, but two had to drop early. Lots of stuff was given away and it was a smooth tournament.
 
What was the announcement during the tournament?

And did a Dark Dragonite win the 2-2, it is SUPER fast during the 2-2.

No, dragonite did not win the 2-2, officially a dark crobat deck I made the night before came 1st but we only did 3 rounds swiss anyways. I ended up giving the 4 extra packs to top 4, so t4 got 2 packs each and 5-8 got 1 pack of deoxys. No other big announcements yet.
