But knowing PUI's track record of updating important information, this could take weeks.

Maybe, but the constant harassment before the due date has got to stop. You can`t just lambast them until after they`ve done something wrong. If someone wants to let them know their feelings, then e-mail them. But this constant harassment is why Dave barely comes around anymore. The board has had too many negative attacks on people, especially before a due date is near. This has got to stop.We need to have a more positive outlook on things, even if the status quo isn`t 100%.

Give them time.Yell at them if it`s past the due date and they didn`t put the info up.Not before.

As many Gymers have pointed out Sensei there is a lot of NON-DELIVERY and we are only pointing that out!

If someone wants to let them know their feelings, then e-mail them.
Where as many have told you it goes unanswered or is passed back to the very people we are concerned about

But this constant harassment is why Dave barely comes around anymore.
Oh come off it he is a MAN working for a company and if he cannot and they cannot take some honest criticism without throwing a tantrum and walking out when we point out the facts as they have told us then I for one am not going to worry

On people? On Pui maybe but the rest is set by the mods on this board. The old gym had a robust nature where debate and rough and tumble criticism and ANSWERS went side by side. Here there are too many apologists for PUI inaction and the board has and is suffering.

Seriously now the way PUI are treating the game I give us 12 months tops unless something changes..

There is no debate on rulings and a closed forum where only a few can post is not good - Debate Stifled!

There is a tendancy by PUI to overturn previously debated and sensible rulings to leave us with a mess! And a compendium that is increasingly worthless.

There is a lack of care, thought , attention and effort being put into the Website, the Leagues, the TMS, OP and the professor programme. And yet the apologists say wait, give them time! THEY HAVE HAD TIME!

When will you see that a lack of delivery will killl this game? Or are you too close to the action to notice?

My question is when are the players going to realize how much work goes into each of these tournaments? It is easy to complain that you don't get an answer right away to a question, but constantly hounding them doesn't help anything.

IF you are emailing them as much as you say, there is a very big possibility that they no longer get them. After you email someone so many times a server sometimes sees you as a spammer and blocks your address. I have had a few people that this has happened to that email me.

Right now most of the people at PUI are trying to get events for this year set up. They are preparing the stuff for City Championships, State Championships, and other tournaments this year. Most players seem to think that this is something that can be done overnight. Believe me, it can't.

I know that the prereleases, even though they are pretty much the same every time take me almost a month or 2 to plan. If it takes me that long I can only imagine how long it takes to prepare them before the PTO's get the information. PUI has to figure out the prizes, get it approved, get lawyers approval for small details that could cause problems, write up the material, get webpages ready for updates, get the info to the TO's, and make sure everything goes smoothly. In the meantime they have players asking for information that even if they had, they can't do anything with because the set they want to know about isn't even out.

Right now we are about 2 months from the State Championships and I have already worked 2 weeks getting these set up and I don't even have the location completely set in stone. There will be at least another week of planning and stuff before the location is completely set up. Then there are judges, setup of the venue, hotel booking, and more that will go on that players don't even think about. All this time PUI will be getting emails from the PTO's that HAVE to be answered right away if you guys want to play in any tournaments. sorry to say, but the TO's and PTO's emails are a little more important. I know I will catch crap about that because some of you like to complain way too much, but it is the way it is if you want to play in a tournament.

Constantly emailing them over the same issues doesn't help anything. They are aware of the issues. They may just have something a little more important to do right now. The TO's have asked about the Team Magma/Aqua thing. Trust me we are more concerned then you are.

The TO's are the ones who have to put up with the complaining from all the players after the decision is made. I honestly don't see why right now it matters that much to the players. You can't buy the new cards right now. Nobody even knows whats in the set. You can look at the Japanese set and guess, but since 50 of the 80 cards have already been released that won't help much. As far as I can see, players don't need to know until March when the cards are released. The only reason the TO's need to know sooner is so they know what to tell the players and put on there advertising materials and handouts.

My suggestion to all the players is build your decks, play test them, then when Magma/Aqua comes out worry about it then. I will almost bet the PTO's will know for sure the answer by the prereleases and then it will be turned over to the public and the website.

I have to agree with you to a certain degree, but I think it all comes down to being patient, and thankful for what we DO have. I don't feel the apologists are in great supply. I think we need more of them. And I don't agree that the board is suffering. If we all walk around moping about our lot in life, we are bound to cause damage and infect others by our depression. Buck up, we'll get through this.

There is nothing stopping people from taking the rulings supplied in Ask the Masters part of the forum to Single card strategies and debate until you turn blue. I've taken advantage of that, why can't others? No stifling there as far as I'm concerned.

Compendium increasingly worthless? Are you sure? I'm not sure about others, but I certainly don't find it so. I reference it quite a lot, and teach my players that it is the ultimate guide to rulings. If Idon't know the answer right away, I encourage people to look it up. That can only help the game.

Time is a luxury for some, for others, they have lots. In recent years of fiscal restraint how can a person not "hold many hats" as it were, working on as much as he can handle, and sometimes more? I know I'm a multitasker. Do you think everyone has only one responsibility to uphold? I agree that it seems quite a long time coming for certain things from Nintendo. Please be patient with them, complaints will only slow the process down. I'm thankful we get what we get, even though I too can see room for improvement. Let's work together, it certainly can't hurt.

This topic was started to see if Magma Vs Aqua would be allowed in the CC after it came out. It has been posted a couple of times now that Steve said nope. Also that these times will be put on the website for other players to know, so let the topic end and stop complaining about it cause you dont like what has been said by PUI, well that is apart of life. We dont always get what we want and graping about it is not going to help. Look on the bright side of thing, at least we have Prerelease and CCs to play in, cause with WOTC we hardly had anything. Be thankful for all the many tournaments PUI it working hard on getting for us.

As many Gymers have pointed out Sensei there is a lot of NON-DELIVERY and we are only pointing that out!

It doesn`t matter that there has been "non-delivery" in the past. What you are completely missing out on is you can`t just come on a board, rip someone apart and say that they won`t deliver on something, all before the person even has a chance to.Do you get it?Go look on their website and see that they have now done what you had been ranting they wouldn`t.Honestly, you need to step back, look at what you are doing, and realize some apologies are in order.

Where as many have told you it goes unanswered or is passed back to the very people we are concerned about

Then why come on here bringing the board members down to the point some people have said that they don`t want to post anything because it always becomes an "I don`t have this" rant and turns the whole thread upside down. What fun to post something when someone always comes on and posts something negative? You have to realize that we really do love you guys and want the best for you.I wish I could wave a magic wand and give you everything you had.But I can`t.The members here can`t.Trying to use this board as a menas of getting to PUI by constant harassment is just doing more damage then good.As I said above, step back and take a look at what you guys are doing. We mean no ill intent and we want you to get everything, but it won`t happen by these means. If they don`t answer your e-mails,there`s nothing anyone here can do about it.

Oh come off it he is a MAN working for a company and if he cannot and they cannot take some honest criticism without throwing a tantrum and walking out when we point out the facts as they have told us then I for one am not going to worry

Honest criticism?Do you really not know what you did?You guys came on here, ripped Dave and Jarod apart and all that before they even had time to do something. You came on here, used this message board to slam them, harass them, and thought nothing of it.Honest criticism?C`mon.

Here there are too many apologists for PUI inaction and the board has and is suffering.

Apologists? You really think so?I never apologized for anything they`ve done or not done.Hell,I even told you guys to let PUI know about anything they haven`t done.I even told you guys that I feel they need to get things out in better time.PUI isn`t at 100% on things and I agree with you guys. But don`t call people apologists when it doesn`t even apply.PUI needs to do some things better but we went through this with WotC and they were notorious for shooting themselves in the foot as well.

There is no debate on rulings and a closed forum where only a few can post is not good - Debate Stifled!

Uh,as has been pointed out,we`ve encouraged people to discuss any ruling they felt was wrong in the Single cards forum...

When will you see that a lack of delivery will killl this game? Or are you too close to the action to notice?

It`s more like you are killing this game here more than anyone. To be completely honest here,a lot of people have complained on how you two have gone about things here on the board. And frankly,I`m tired of it.I`ve told you that we wish we could get you everything that the "US" has. We`ve told you that we support you guys and hope for the best. But apparently you don`t listen to what`s being said. The only thing you want to hear is what you want to hear.I`m sorry I have to be so blunt, but I think it`s time things have to be said and settled.

Everyone is welcome here(unless someone breaks the rules of course).Everyone is welcome to debate, talk, etc. about whatever the forum is for.But what is not welcome is the constant harassment, verbal attacking, and plain outright of calling people liars or non producers before they even have the chance to do something whether it`s a saying it to a member,a company rep, or company in general.

I apologize to everyone for my bluntness but I felt these things needed saying as I am not only speaking my thoughts but that of many others who have not gone public.

No apology needed Sensei, you said what needed to be said.

To throw my two cents in, I enjoy this game very much and have fun posting with everyone on the boards about it. To me it is just another added bonus of the game being able to talk about with others about Pokemon; it is nice having the board to do so. I just get tired that it seems like there has always be a couple of people that like to grip about everything when the ruling and such are not the way they think it should be. I have seen these post show up over the past couple years that I have been a board member here and on the WOTC boards, and it gets old. This is a fun game, and this is a place to talk about what we enjoy. It is true that there are some problems, and as Sensei said PUI is not 100%, but they are working hard for us players. I am a PTO and have been since the beginning with PUI. I know how hard they work to put as many tournaments together for us and working hard to get them in States that don’t have any right now. We never had this level of tournaments with WOTC on the local level. How about instead of gripping all the time and trying to find every flaw you can with the people running the game, maybe a thank for there hard work and what they do.

These are my thoughts, and do not reflect the ideas of this management. ;)
