EXP.ALL and Exp. Share

In olden days of yore, EXP.ALL from Neo Destiny and FRLG could be legally played in a deck, treating it as if it was Exp. Share, because the name EXP.ALL was a mistranslation. (I think this was the only exception ever to the "must have same name" rule for reprints.)

Is this still applicable to the current Standard and Expanded formats where Exp. Share is legal? If yes, is an external reference required?
