Watch out for these people on ebay , rickyb1991 and bboy230
they are both from somewhere in Whitewater, Wi and he/she is providing fake Claydols
reading the feedback you can see the comments about fakes, we also had a friend at our league that bought around $100 worth of them and said they were fake.

BE CAREFUL

File a claim with paypal, since sell fake cards is illegal you might be able to get your money back.

They may not know they are fake, but normally people check their feedback periodically and would see they have had complaints about the fake cards. Also even if they don't check the feedback, most people that have complaints, will contact the seller before posting a feedback if there is a problem. I find it had to believe that someone would sell fake cards to many buyers, and not know something was wrong at some point.

the joys of fake cards
i bought one of these from ebay out of curiosity more than anything as it had a Nintendo seal and a hologram.
It arrived and guess what it hade some very pretty power keeper cards in it. I'll post some pics at some point but they were quite bad fakes. The copyright date one these is 2010 on the tin, so you have been warned guys.
I e-mailed the seller and he was quite insistant that they are real but i have had a refund. And PUI has been informed.

(BTW the tin is kinda cool it zips up and has pocket pages inside)

Sometimes, the packets the fake cards come in are pretty cool, there's at least 1 pack of fake cards in every store in Malaysia. D:

We have a Asian store in one of our casinos here (Las Vegas; Riverra I think it was; Fortune Cookie) ... it was a holographic package that had a pikachu next to the number 2010 and had cards from one of the DP sets (forgot which one) ... I was curious and asked if I could open one;

Weird .. she didn't find it strange that I was asking to open a product before buying XD ... after I opened it the cards felt like flimsy cardboard and the writing was off as well as the symbols; the back; egh; just bad ... bad fake.

They also had fakes from Yugi and some collector cards (like fake baseball and basketball cards). :nonono:

I told the store worker that they were fake cards and she kinds shrugged.

.............

Online it's harder to tell if it's fake or not; I would write to both ebay and paypal and tell them and try to get your money back.

OllieK: It could be one of those bulk auctions and maybe they haven't looked at their feedback yet. I'm sure; if they didn't know; once they start getting letters and emails with complaints then they would probably do something about it.

Man, I remember the time 3 years ago on Ebay when I purchased what I thought was a reverse holo TVR from Dragon, only to have received a poorly done color photocopy of the card glued to an energy card.

For those of you who are getting ripped off, your best bet of getting your money back is filing a dispute resolution with PayPal if you paid with PayPal. PayPal will email the seller, and if the seller doesn't respond within (I believe it was) 7 days, you get your money back. And what's coolest about that part, is they withdraw the money from the seller's bank account and wire it direclty to you instantly from there so that PayPal doesn't take a direct loss. The funny part is getting a check in the mail after PayPal refunded me directly. So I actually got compensated and paid for my duress and time spent filing the complaints and sending numberous emails to get it resolved... ROFL! :thumb:

If you didn't pay with PayPal, you can still file a complaint to Ebay directly, but it takes time, and if the seller doesn't respond, you're screwed unless you stop payment on a check...

Always be sure to look at feedback, and try to purchase from people with over 100 different feedback comments, with a feedback score of 98% and better. Be sure to read all feedback comments as well before making your final decision... Choose your sellers wisely, and be careful my friends!

Coldfire really hit the nail on the head with it. If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. Feedback is really the number one way to find out if a person is selling fakes or not.

I'm planning on trading my Raichu X for:
Leafeon X (scratched)
Electivire X (95% mint)
and Sceptile GE
I got this offer on the trade forums here, on the gym, do you guys think it's a scam?

When I was 9 I was "coo coo" for yugioh, I ordered a set of Exodia, wel it was fake AND it was in German, they could have at least made it English, there go's 19$
Same thing with Ra, Obelisk and Slifer all for 374 :nonono:
I made sure to read the description to...
