Not sure if this has been posted yet but I was at Target today and noticed the 2013 tins are out. Packs were 2 Plasma Blast, 1 Plasma Freeze and 1 tin had 1 Noble Victories and other 2 had 1 Plasma Storm. Picked up 1 of each tin, here are my results:

Thundurus tin: Virizion Ex, Tornadus Ex, RH Silver Bangle

Deoxys tin: nothing really notable

Lugia tin: G Scope Ace Spec, RH Professor Juniper

Yeah I got mine at Walmart yesterday. It was a travesty alright. Each tin came with 2 Plasma Blast, a Plasma Freeze and EMERGING POWERS.

Anyways out of 3 tins I pulled a total of one holo card which was an Absol.

Oh geeze, with my luck, I'll get it too :/ I swear they printed at least a million of those (consider how many they shoved inside of blisters, boxsets, and tins...) I feel like they barely did any Next Destinies, Dark Explorers, or Dragons Exalted though :/

I'll keep my eye out for these!

A simple solution to not having TPCi include Emerging Powers in box sets and tins is to buy Emerging Powers. It's sad but true. Box sets and Tins are ways to remove unwanted booster sets from warehouses.

And yet, I'm still surprised. You would think that since it's the second set after the Base BW set, that it would still be pretty popular. Maybe BW was so popular, being a fresh-new franchise and people going back to buying cards (like me), that many didn't come back for the second expansion?

I guess it makes sense that starting at ND were the EX cards, though. Still, for me, I only buy tins, boxsets, and promo blister packs because of all the goodies^^

Considering EP/NVI are rotated, that really reduces the value of these tins. Most people will probably just buy the singles of these promos now.

No, it's simply because very few cards in Emerging Powers were considered playable even when the set was new, much less later, so people didn't really have reason to buy packs of it other than for Pokemon Catcher.

I think TPCi should enact a rule where no booster set that is older than 8 booster sets, that is, 2 years or older, is allowed to be in box sets or tins. Today, if that rule was in place, anything older than Noble Victories isn't fair game, meaning, TPCi has to cut their losses and sell booster boxes of Emerging Powers at a discount.

My tin had 2 PLB, 1 PLF, and 1 PLS. Can't really complain about that. Plus my pulls from the four packs in my tin were better than the pulls from my 8 packs in the PLB Elite Trainer Box.

Got the Deoyxss one at league today.
It had 2 Plasma Blast, 1 Plasma Storm, and 1 Plasma Freeze.

Nothing really cool, besides the fact that most of the packs had 2 rare cards in them.
Also got a foil Rare Candy.

I opened 400 tins and only got 8 Next Destinies and 1 Plasma Storm. The rest were as expected.

I'd like to add, however, that ALL of my Deoxys tins (every single one) had two small indents on the cover piece. They are the exact same indents, of the exact same size, in the exact same place. On every. Single. Tin.

This was clearly a result of the manufacturing or packaging process.

I got the dents in my pre-order from Chaos Cards, I ordered 4 Deoxys tins and got a Virision EX FA, Deoxys EX RA and Ho-oh EX RA but also a few packs with no reverse holo cards.

Can you explain more and/or upload an annotated picture of this?

Looked at my two tin tops. They too have the two small indents. It's the manufacturing of when they make the Deoxys print in the metal. It pulled the inside of the sides inward. look at the underside, you can see where the hand(finger) touches the spot of the indents.

My camera isn't working so I had to take these with my iPhone. They're not very good pictures, but the issue should be self explanatory (i.e. I don't think you'll actually need me to mark them up to see what I'm talking about). Literally every single Deoxys tin I touched has the exact same indents.
